One-year after introducing the multi-dimensional character of Dr. Ryan Chamberlain on General Hospital in 1992, Jon Lindstrom created the endearing role of Dr. Kevin Collins, his twin brother. Launched in June 1997, Dr. Collins is one of three founding characters on Port Charles.
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Lindstrom attended the Universtiy of Oregon, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in theater and music. Upon graduation, Mr. Lindstrom moved to Los Angeles and began studying with some of the most prominent acting teachers, including Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Jeff Corey.
His telefilm credits include the Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker saga, Fall From Grace, and The Alamo, Thirteen Days to Glory, with Alec Baldwin and the late Raul Julia. Mr. Lindstrom was also seen on the successful daytime drama, Santa Barbara, from 1985-86.
At the recent Soap Opera Digest Awards, he took home the award for Best Supporting Actor.
Mr. Lindstrom's feature film credits include the HBO movie, Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Point of Seduction with Andrew Stevens and Morgan Fairchild and Listen to Me with Roy Scheider. A talented musician and drummer, Lindstrom has recorded an album, Feel Free to Do So, with his band, The High Lonesome. He also completed a screenplay with fellow actor Thomas Schanley.
In feature films, Lindstrom was seen in Point of Seduction with Andrew Stevens and Morgan Fairchild; and Listen to Me with Roy Scheider and Kirk Cameron. A talented musician and drummer, Lindstrom has recorded an album, Feel Free to Do So, with his group, The High Lonesome.
An active athlete, Lindstrom is a skilled scuba diver, an avid skier and an expert in martial arts. Lindstrom also enjoys traveling, having backpacked through much of Europe and the United States. He resides in Southern California.
