Instead of a wedding in the Forrester living room, The Bold and the Beautiful treated fans to a dance party this week when Eric Forrester threw a soiree to toast the success of Brooke's Bedroom.
The relaunch of Brooke's lingerie line exceeded the Forresters' wildest dreams, so of course, Eric had to throw a party. He even invited old pals Danny Romalotti and Christine Blair, who were in Los Angeles as part of Danny's latest rock tour. When The Young and the Restless' Danny walked through the door, Eric's wife, Donna, was overwhelmed. As a fan, she could barely control her excitement.
To give Donna a little thrill, Christine convinced Danny to perform one of his biggest hits live for the Forresters and Logans to enjoy. The excited guests danced the evening away as Danny sang "Rock On," which was a hit for actor and singer Michael Damian way back in 1989.
The song was originally recorded by David Essex in 1973, but when Damian recorded a cover of the tune, he gave it new life as it soared to number one on the Billboard charts. It became a signature song for both the actor and the character, so it was only natural that he would perform it at Eric's house.
However, the actors had to get it right before the cameras started rolling, so Damian helped them get the lyrics down with a fun refresher rehearsal. Lauralee Bell shared the rehearsal on social media, including the moment when Lawrence Saint-Victor's Carter crooned a quick "James Dean" with his low bass voice.
"Before we say #thatsawrap to @boldandbeautifulcbs, how cute is this?" Bell wrote. "The cast getting a quick refresher on #rockon lyrics before we go to tape but @therealmichaeldamian saw we all pretty much knew them already!"
Bell offered another video of behind-the-scenes moments of the Y&R/B&B crossover.
"We shot both our episodes in one day, so I didn't have much time to get all the behind-the-scenes footage I wanted," she wrote. "But I love to show you the set etc. and thank the amazing fans because it's the least we can do... for all you give to us! I've done a few videos for YR and now it's a privilege to be a part of a video for B&B!"
Danny and Christine already visited Traci Abbott in Paris as part of their tour. Where will they turn up next before making their way back to Genoa City?
