Comedian Tom Arnold is set to make his The Bold and Beautiful debut in a very funny way.

The Bold and the Beautiful's Ridge, Brooke, and Steffy are off to Monte Carlo for the big relaunch of Brooke's Bedroom, the signature Forrester Creations lingerie line. As the trio heads out of L.A., they find themselves with a new pilot for the Forrester jet, played by Tom Arnold.

Arnold's episodes will air on July 30 and July 31, with a frazzled Steffy holding up her family's private flight because she can't find her passport. Chaos and comedy are sure to ensue with Arnold around, but how did he get there?

The comedian explained to TV Insider that his longtime friendship with B&B Executive Producer Brad Bell paid off.

"He's a guy I've known for about 25, 30 years, and he's a very nice guy with a very nice family," Arnold said. "And then all of a sudden, that friendship paid off and he's like, 'Hey, what do you think of The Bold and the Beautiful?' I said, 'I think a lot of it. I'm a superfan,' and he's like, 'How would you like to come on?'"

From there, a deal was struck, with Arnold pleased by the results. He had lots of questions about how things worked and was especially curious about his character's name.

"And last question [was], this is a dealbreaker: What is my character's name?' And he said, 'Deuce.' I go, 'I'm in. Deuce the pilot. I could work with that.'" Arnold relayed.

Arnold, a comic actor known for a plethora of films and TV series since the 1990s, had his first foray into soaps on General Hospital in 1994 when he played a character named Billy "Baggs" Boggs for two episodes with his ex-wife, Roseanne Barr, who played Luke's ex, Jennifer Smith.

"That was a dream come true," he said of his brief time on GH. "We both had grown up with that show. I remember missing classes in college because we would watch General Hospital, One Life to Live, and All My Children, and then to get to a point where you're on the same freaking show as Luke and Laura? They're so professional and they were fun to work with."

Arnold also loved working with his three B&B co-stars during his latest soap stint.

"Jacqueline Wood [Steffy Forrester] and Thorsten Kaye [Ridge Forrester] and Katherine Kelly Lang [Brooke Logan] were so good," he enthused. "In the script, it said Steffy had to start throwing stuff out of her purse because she's looking for her passport and they said to Jacqueline, 'We need you to throw it all from the ground up to Tom's face or head, and make it funny,' and she really Lucille Ball-ed it. She killed it! So there is humor in the scenes, and probably always has to be when I'm around."
