Due to a family emergency, Brandi is unable to write a new column this week. In its place, we offer you the Halloween column from 2004.
This week it became extremely obvious what is wrong with Theresa. And as much as it pains me to say this, the problem is Pilar. Now I love Pilar dearly. I hope she lays the smack down on Marty's lying, cheating behind. But someone needs to lay the smack down on her for constantly allowing Theresa to run rampant. I guarantee you if I were in Theresa's position, and I was confiding in my mother, she'd give me one chance to come clean, then she'd rat my behind out quicker than you can blink.
Pilar stands on her moral high horse (now we know where Theresa gets it) and constantly tells her daughter how wrong she is. Yet when it comes down to brass tacks, Pilar only abets Theresa. If she really wanted to help Theresa and force her to change, she needs to start ratting her out. If not, Theresa is only going to keep doing the things she is doing and coming to Pilar to help her cover her tracks. Maybe Marty will be the real man of the family and set her straight since Luis and Antonio couldn't do it.
And the very sad thing is Gwen is feeling sorry for Theresa. She even chastises her mother, who knows what's coming. But Gwen is sympathetic and is willing to go to enormous lengths to save her child(ren). All the while, Theresa is demanding Dr. Do Right to save her baby. Eve is horrified, along with the rest of us, at what Theresa is demanding of her.
Luis is searching for the truth about who Mr. And Mrs. Wheeler are, but is coming up with nothing. He complains because their fingerprints aren't on file and can't believe that they've never been fingerprinted for anything. Uh Luis, I've been fingerprinted once in my life and that was when I was 4 or 5 for a child info thingy in case I was ever kidnapped. I seriously doubt that my fingerprints would be on file in any police station.
I wish Marty and Kathy would leave this show. They aggravate me beyond words. Katherine doesn't know if she can leave Julian and Sheridan again. She sure didn't think much about it the first time, why should this one be any different? And they are grown now, they were only babies back then.
Whitney has Fox wrapped around her finger. I wish I knew her secret. Justin Hartley is the best actor on this show, period. Once upon a time, I wouldn't have given anyone that nod but Ben Masters, but lately Ben just stands around moping for Eve and trying to make Chad love him. Stuff that will never win him an Emmy. But Justin could turn that scene in with him and Kim Johnston Ulrich (Ivy) and he should be a hands down winner.
Some Random Thoughts:
No matter how hard I try, I can not seem to escape from the Theresa lovers. I understand she has her fans who feel Gwen is the devil incarnate. Linda and Sheppella both sent me emails claiming how much they love Theresa and loathe Gwen and Rebecca. On the other hand Jen, April, and Katie all agree with me. I'd like to end this debate, but I guess as long as I continue to put down on Theresa, her fans will write me. And Angela, Lindsay and Justin are here to stay for now.
Telisha is tired of the hypocrisy as is Katie. Maybe Precious is hers and Julian's long lost child.
I've gotten a lot of emails from you, dear readers, concerning how long the secret of the Wheelers have been dragged out. According to spoilers, tune in next week, which is just in time for November sweeps.
I'm sure I don't have to remind all of you that Tuesday, November 2 is Election Day in this country. No matter who you support, VOTE!!! If you are still undecided, there are several websites out there that lists where each candidate stands on certain issues. My hometown newspaper published a supplement in yesterday's edition with this type of information, be on the lookout for something similar in yours. I implore each of you, please familiarize yourself with each of the candidates and make an informed vote.
My prayers go out to the Hendrick Family and the entire NASCAR organization for their tragic loss last weekend.
Until next week friends,
Brandi
