While lying down, John gets a strange feeling that he is on a submarine with Gina. He rushes to talk with Greta in hopes of clearing things up but she claims she wants Hope out of her memory. Desperate to find Bo, Julie spots an old friend at the docks and he flies her in his helicopter to Bo's boat. Julie then advises Bo that Gina had her appendix taken out while Hope didn't. Realizing the dead woman might not be Hope, Bo climbs up the helicopter ladder. However, when Shawn tries, he flashes back to the moment when Gina ordered him to jump to his death and finds he can't move. Bo finally helps him into the helicopter. Doug manages to stop the cremation for a few minutes and then gets into a fight to delay it further. The police show and soon after, Bo arrives and manages to stop the coffin before it goes into the fire. Brandon upsets Nicole when he brings their mother to Titan to visit with her. Nicole hides her anger until she gets her brother alone and lets him have it. Overhearing her snooping about Nicole, Austin is upset and accuses her of returning to her old, dishonest self. He asks Sami to be nice to Nicole because she's had a hard life but Sami refuses.

He then pulls her to him for a passionate kiss and boasts that the only way for their relationship to work is if they stop living together. Still upset at her brother for bringing their mother to Titan, Nicole argues with Brandon about their childhood. When she claims that Abe helped their mother every time he was called to their house, Brandon argues the opposite is true. Upset to hear that Victor is trying to find Stefano, Kate warns him about the danger he's facing. He insists that he must do this and suggests that if she can't allow him to do what he wants, then she should reconsider his proposal. She becomes more upset when Victor decides to consider Vivian's new business proposal. Nicholas tries to calm Kate down as he escorts her back to her office and asks her if she's decided to end things with Victor. Bo examines "Hope's" body for a scar from an appendectomy but fails to find one. Though he now believes this is Hope's body, Greta examines the body herself and finds a protrusion that may be a scar after all.

Greta then brings a blindfolded Eric to her new apartment. When the blindfold is removed, he's stunned to realize that it is Nicole's and asks Greta if this is a joke. John wonders if he was making love to Gina or Hope. Kurt realizes that he has to help an ill Hope. When Kurt brings her medicine and some soup, she slips him a note asking for a home pregnancy test. The hacker gives Brandon Abe's file. He shows Nicole the file but she wants him to stop his vendetta. Brandon insists that he can't move on with his life until Abe pays for sending their father to prison every time he beat up their mom. He remembers that their father would come out in an even worse state of mind.

Victor's man ties up the pilot of the jet and forces him to admit that princess Gina was with Stefano on the flight to Europe and that Stefano stayed in Europe. Upset, Eric tells a shocked Greta that her new apartment was Nicole's place. John explains to Marlena about the cut on his neck and seeing something shiny on the floor in the church but then it was gone. At the cemetery Alice, Doug and Julie remember things from the past as they talk about Hope. Alice remembers her life with Tom in their younger days. Doug remembers when Addie was sick with cancer and decided not to take the special treatment so that she could deliver a healthy baby they named Hope. Doug then sings the song "In the Sweet By and By." Everyone is called back to the funeral home for the results of the DNA test. The results show
