At Steffy's house, the party continued. Steffy teased Sally and Wyatt for making out then offered everyone more wine. As the guests prepared for another toast, the tortured Taylor stared at the alcohol on display. Reese noticed her preoccupation with the wine and declined a refill. He offered to get Taylor more soda water, but she claimed to be fine.
Reese strode off to thank Zoe for taking him to the party. He hoped he wasn't cramping her style on her date. Zoe corrected that it wasn't a date, but Reese said she and Xander seemed cozy. Zoe quipped that she could say that about Reese and Dr. Hayes.
Reese called Taylor an accomplished woman. Zoe added that Taylor was also attractive. He claimed that he hadn't noticed.
Later, Sally and Wyatt exited the bedroom after checking on Kelly once more before heading home. Cooing about the adorable Kelly, Sally said she wanted a baby just like Kelly someday. Steffy asked if Wyatt had heard that, and Wyatt emphasized that Sally had said "someday."
As Sally and Wyatt left, Reese thanked Steffy for having him over and for the opportunity she'd given his daughter. He walked over to Taylor to say it had been a pleasure to meet her. Taylor apologized for going on and on earlier. Reese replied that he just wanted her to get her practice up and running soon. Touching her hand, he said, "Until we meet again..."
Later, Steffy was cleaning up in the kitchen. Taylor approached a glass of wine that had been left on the dining table. She stared down at it intensely. Noticing Taylor's mental struggle, Steffy thanked Taylor for helping and said she'd finish up herself. Taylor snapped out of it and took the glass to the sink. While pouring out the wine, Taylor said she had it, and everything was good.
Steffy retrieved her phone and texted Ridge, asking him to get over there right away.
At Brooke's house, Ridge told Brooke that Thomas had just checked in with Ridge and had mentioned that his mother wasn't answering her phone. Brooke wondered if Taylor had told Thomas about her role in the shooting. Ridge doubted it and said no one else needed to know about it, either. In his mind, it had been a terrible, one-time thing, and they needed to let it go.
Brooke wanted to let it go, but she couldn't because of their grandchildren. Ridge thought it was ridiculous to worry that Taylor would do anything to Hope or Steffy's daughters. Brooke said she prayed things would be okay as Taylor worked through her issues, but Brooke doubted Ridge would want Kelly around Taylor if Taylor happened to snap again.
Ridge insisted that Taylor wouldn't jeopardize her relationship with her granddaughter. Brooke wanted to believe it, but she expressed concern about Taylor's alcoholism. Ridge dismissively said Taylor was doing fine. "Today, she is," Brooke replied. Reminding Ridge that she'd had her own troubles with drinking, Brooke asked what would happen if Taylor felt she was losing control. Brooke asked if Taylor would reach for a drink or, God forbid, take it further.
Ridge received a text message. He told Brooke that Steffy wanted him to meet her at her house about something important. He kissed Brooke and exited.
When Ridge arrived at the cliff house later, Steffy let him in, and Taylor expressed surprise when she saw him. Steffy said she'd asked Ridge to be there, and she explained to him that she'd had a party with wine. "I saw you staring at the wine, Mom," Steffy stated. She knew that her mother was struggling and said that she and her father were there to look out for Taylor.
Taylor began to sob. Ridge asked what he could do, and Steffy asked her mother not to cry. Taylor cried that she'd looked at her life, and she'd seen that she was alone. She noted that Steffy was also alone. Taylor questioned whether she'd really had a hand in how wonderful and strong of a person Steffy was and wondered if she'd been the mother that Steffy had needed.
Taylor asserted that she should have fought harder to keep the family together and for Steffy, Phoebe, and Thomas to have the family they deserved. Taylor claimed that, though she didn't hate Ridge for it, he hadn't always been there for their kids -- just like Liam wouldn't always be there for Kelly. Taylor considered that she might be partially to blame. "Maybe I'm all to blame," Taylor decided and dissolved into tears.
Recomposing herself, Taylor recalled that she'd once been confident in who she was, and she'd taken pride in her accomplishments. She wondered what had happened to that woman. Taylor remarked that Brooke might be right about Taylor having no business being alone with Kelly. Taylor stated that she could be the cause of all the problems with the family over the years. Steffy didn't believe it and asked Taylor not to say such things.
Kelly began to cry, and Steffy went into the bedroom through a secondary door to check on the child. Taylor felt sorry for waking the baby. She just couldn't get her bearings, and her emotions were all over the place. She didn't know how she'd gotten to that point in her life. Ridge said she'd made it through challenges, and she'd make it through that one, too.
Taylor replied that having struggles didn't justify shooting a man. She exclaimed that she'd shot a man. Ridge asked her not to do it to herself and to remember that she was a beautiful, kind woman and loving mother and grandmother. Taylor appreciated his support. Ridge said they were family and had beautiful kids together. He asked her to remember that.
Steffy emerged from the bedroom with Kelly, and Taylor took the baby into her arms. To Taylor, everything was right and true in Kelly's eyes. Taylor said she needed her family. Steffy stated that they needed her, too, and she and Taylor hugged.
In the Forrester design office, Liam stood behind Hope. She stroked her belly and stared in a mirror. Liam hoped things would settle down by the time the baby was born. Hope was still reeling about Taylor. Liam was sure Brooke was, too.
Hope hoped Liam wasn't upset that she'd told her mother what Taylor had done. Hope felt she'd had no choice because of what Taylor might be capable of. Hope said that if Bill had died, it would have been murder, and it was possible that Taylor could still go to prison for the shooting.
Though Liam had his issues with Taylor, he was trying to remind himself that Taylor was remorseful, getting help, and had people around her to keep her in check. Hope insisted that Taylor was still fragile, and no one knew what could happen if Taylor backslid again.
Liam affirmed that they should be vigilant, but he also believed that they had an obligation to put things into perspective. Hope said she didn't mean to be an alarmist, but Taylor still wasn't herself after months of intensive therapy. Hope cited that Taylor was confrontational and hadn't let the past go. Hope thought it was best that Taylor wasn't alone with Kelly.
Liam sighed and pressed his hands into his face. He said he'd been wrestling with whether to keep Taylor from Kelly, but the idea that Taylor would harm a baby was unimaginable. Hope didn't want to imagine it, either. Liam and Hope exchanged dubious looks.
Later, Hope and Liam had left the design office, and Zoe had just arrived with her father in tow to retrieve her phone. She'd left it at work before she'd gone to the party. Reese remarked that Xander was waiting in the car, but Reese wanted to take time to thank her for a delightful evening. He said Steffy, Zoe's boss, was an impressive woman. Zoe quipped that Taylor was, too, and very charming. Reese agreed and asked what Zoe knew about Brooke Logan.
Zoe picked up a framed photo of Brooke and Hope and showed it to Reese. "That's Brooke," he said. Zoe affirmed it and asked why he wanted to know. Reese said he was just matching names he'd heard at the party with faces.
Back in Brooke's bedroom later, Hope giggled as Brooke helped Hope sit on the settee. Brooke shared that Ridge had gone to talk to Steffy about something important. Hope wondered what was going on. Brooke was sure it was about Taylor, who was on everyone's minds. Hope stated that it was that way with her and Liam.
Brooke conveyed that she was having a hard time getting Ridge to see Taylor realistically. Hope reasoned that Ridge might feel partially responsible for the shooting because he'd called to tell Taylor about Steffy and Bill. Brooke dismissed the idea, saying that it wasn't Ridge's fault that Taylor had gone off the deep end. Taylor's erratic behavior was on her, not Ridge.
Brooke didn't trust Taylor, who, in Brooke's view, was unstable and potentially dangerous. Hope wondered how Taylor had taken the news that Brooke knew about Taylor's crime. Brooke stated that it made her and Hope "more inextricably tied to her" and put Brooke and Hope in a difficult position. Hope replied that, after her talk with Liam earlier, she'd realized just how difficult the position actually was.
Hope explained that she hadn't been trying to attack Taylor, but Hope did have concerns. Brooke said Hope couldn't feel guilty for looking out for herself and the baby. Hope asked how Brooke had left things with Taylor. Brooke said she'd agreed to keep the secret; however, she would not hesitate to protect the people she loved if she saw anything wacky going on with Taylor.
At Forrester, the Logan women took over the CEO's office for coffee and doughnuts. Brooke perched on the conference table that had been pushed aside to accommodate a table full of treats. Her sisters and daughter sat around the treats table. Their meeting was about baby names, and Hope stated that all names were in play. "Except for 'Taylor,'" Brooke replied.
Donna said she'd never suggest "Taylor" as a baby name. Katie wondered why Taylor was even coming up in conversation. Hope asked if they could get back to baby-naming because she had a meeting in a couple of hours. Katie wondered if Liam should be in on the discussion.
Hope replied that he was spending time with Kelly. Donna cooed about how sweet it was and asked if it was just the two of them. Hope remarked that Steffy was there. Brooke stated that Taylor was there, too, and that was why Liam was there. Donna and Katie exchanged confused expressions, and Hope nervously cleared her throat.
As the discussion continued, the topic turned to Hope loving that Liam was dedicated to his children and their mothers. Katie was sure Steffy could use his help. Donna mentioned that Steffy had her mother, who probably couldn't get enough of Kelly. Hope and Brooke exchanged looks. Katie noticed it and asked what was going on.
Katie hoped Taylor wasn't giving Brooke grief again. Hope spoke up and said there wasn't a problem with Taylor. "Is there, Mom?" Hope pointedly asked. Brooke replied that there wasn't one as long as Taylor stayed away from Hope and Hope's daughter. Katie asked if Taylor had been to see Hope. Brooke affirmed it and said Taylor was still upset that Liam was with Hope.
Donna thought it was understandable, but Brooke stated that it went even deeper than that. Donna inquired how deep. "Mother," Hope said in a warning tone. Brooke decided it was enough to say that she didn't want Taylor near Hope or Hope's baby -- or Kelly. "Her own grandchild?" Katie asked. Brooke stated that Taylor was not to be trusted.
Hope told everyone that it was no secret that Brooke and Taylor did not get along, and Hope wanted to just leave it at that. Katie had the feeling that the issue involved Hope, too. Brooke stated that Taylor had changed, and she hadn't been herself.
Donna pointed out that Taylor "sure as heck" hadn't been herself at Hope's wedding. Katie remarked that the cake fight had been over the top for even Taylor. "That was nothing," Brooke bit out. Brooke's sisters wanted to know what she meant. Brooke remarked that no one had ever lost his life in a cake fight. Donna considered that they might in a fight with Pam's lemon bars.
Hope decided that they'd worn out the topic. Disagreeing, Katie asked Brooke what was going on with Taylor. Brooke said it was more than her sisters could imagine, and if they found out, they'd be shocked.
In the studio, Reese wanted the scoop from his daughter on Taylor Hayes. Annoyed, Zoe said he'd spent more time with Taylor than Zoe had. He remarked that Taylor was an interesting woman, and Zoe quipped that she was sure he had found Taylor "very interesting."
Reese received a call from someone. On the call, he tersely emphasized that he was "Dr." Buckingham. He let the caller know that he'd moved overseas. He said he'd have his accountant handle the address change, and the bill would be paid immediately.
After the call, Reese chuckled, remarking, "Credit card companies, right?" Zoe asked if he owed them money, and he responded that a bill had been lost in the mail.
Zoe asked why he'd moved from London. Reese stated that he'd gotten two wonderful opportunities -- one at University Hospital and one on Catalina Island. Zoe didn't get it and said he'd loved London. Reese replied that he hadn't loved it as much as he loved his daughter, and his move to Los Angeles was a fresh start for both of them.
Unsure of why her father needed a fresh start, Zoe stated that he'd enjoyed his London practice. Reese agreed that he had, but he said that she'd left town. She quipped that they hadn't been "joined at the hip over there." He asked her not to doubt that he loved her.
Zoe said her father loved a lot of people -- her mother, the woman before her mother, and the women after them. "Hey," Reese replied. Zoe said she was just saying that he had a history of going from woman to woman, and they'd been well-off women who could, in his words, help him maintain a certain lifestyle. He questioned whether he'd said that, and she scoffed.
Reese admitted to loving beautiful women and said it was all the better if they happened to be wealthy. He maintained his position that he was there for his daughter, and he believed that getting the job in America had been a sign. He told her that she knew how he believed in signs.
Reese believed that he was where he belonged, and he and Zoe were better off for it. "And now that I've fortuitously met Dr. Hayes -- " he began saying. Interrupting, Zoe cited the fact that Taylor was the mother of Zoe's boss, and Zoe didn't want Reese messing things up for her.
Reese claimed that he'd never do that. He had to leave for work, but before going, he joked about Zoe putting in a good word for him with Steffy regarding Taylor.
Later, Xander arrived. He was psyched about a beach party and asked if Zoe would go. The distracted Zoe affirmed it, and he asked if something was bothering her. She revealed that she was worried about her father, who could get a little intense. Xander understood and said parents could be intense about their kids. Zoe replied that Reese's focus was on Steffy's mother.
"Your dad and Dr. Hayes?" Xander asked. Zoe reminded him that he'd seen the pair at the party. He stated that they'd seemed pretty friendly with each other. Prefacing that she'd never told Xander a lot about her father, Zoe said she got a little uneasy about Reese sometimes. Reese could be charming, outgoing, and smart, but he wasn't very good at relationships.
At the cliff house, Taylor, Liam, and Steffy were in the living room after they'd put Kelly down for a nap. Liam asked how Taylor was, and Steffy quickly said her mother was fine. Taylor replied that she'd been tempted to have a drink the other night. Steffy added that Taylor had decided on her own not to drink, without anyone having to intervene.
Taylor acknowledged Liam's concern about her in light of her exchange with Hope the other day. Liam said Taylor had almost gotten out of control. "But I wasn't out of control," Taylor responded. She admitted that she'd vented and said it wasn't healthy to repress anger. She felt that Liam had overreacted to the situation by telling Hope about Taylor's role in the shooting; Hope, in turn, had told Brooke, "and that threatens my freedom!"
Liam said it hadn't been his intention to threaten Taylor's freedom, but Hope had had a right to know. Steffy replied that the damage was done; however, he insisted that there was no damage, and no one would call the police. Taylor stated that he didn't know that, and he'd given Brooke what she'd been waiting for her entire life -- complete power over Taylor.
Taylor feared that she'd lose everything if Brooke used that power. Taylor insisted that what she'd done didn't define who she was, and she insisted that Liam convince Brooke and Hope that Taylor wasn't an evil person.
Liam said he didn't think Taylor was an awful person, but for him, it wasn't about her character. It was about what she could be capable of. He had to protect his daughters and his wife, and he needed to know if he had to protect them from Taylor. Steffy flashed an astonished look, but he stated that, because Taylor was a mother, she had to understand his dilemma.
Taylor shot back that Liam had to understand her dilemma. Taylor asked if he wanted Kelly to grow up with her grandmother in prison. Taylor demanded to know what he'd say when Kelly asked why he hadn't kept his wife and mother-in-law from putting Taylor in prison.
Grabbing her purse, Taylor said she had to meet her A.A. sponsor. Taylor told Liam that he was a good person. She implored Liam, for the sakes of Steffy and Kelly, to convince Hope and Brooke not to say anything about Taylor's misdeed.
Later, Liam and Steffy checked on Kelly and remarked that she slept with abandon, just like Steffy. Steffy thought Liam was the father every girl would want, and he replied that he could say the same about Steffy as a mother. He was glad their daughter never had to question her parents' love. "Or her grandmother's," Steffy added.
Liam claimed not to question Taylor's love for Kelly. He just wanted Kelly to be safe. Steffy asked if he thought she'd have Taylor around Kelly if there was a hint of a threat. Steffy believed that Kelly was Taylor's lifeline, and Kelly didn't need protection from her grandmother.
Liam didn't want to disrespect Taylor. He was thankful that Taylor had given him Steffy, and Steffy had given him Kelly. Steffy said he questioned her mother's stability, and she reasoned that she had, too. He wondered why Steffy no longer questioned it.
In Steffy's silence, Liam said Taylor probably hadn't set out to murder his father; however, she had indeed lost her grip on reality and had done something tragic. Liam wasn't saying Taylor was a serial killer, but he didn't think Steffy could deny Taylor's capacity to snap. Steffy asserted that her mother would never, ever harm Kelly.
Liam didn't believe it, either, but he wondered if they knew for a fact that Taylor wouldn't lose it again the way she had with Bill. Steffy affirmed it, saying that Taylor had gone through months of intensive therapy to ensure it wouldn't happen again. Even though Hope, Brooke, and Liam didn't believe Taylor was a good mother and grandmother, Steffy did.
Steffy knew what her mother was and wasn't. She insisted that what had happened with Bill had been a one-time event. Steffy begged Liam to convince Brooke and Hope to believe it as deeply as she did. "Because they could separate my mom and our child!" Steffy said, explaining, "That would be the end of her, Liam. That would be the end of my family!"
At the hospital, Taylor arrived in the office of her sponsor, Dr. Lisa Burr. Surprised, Lisa remarked that it had been a long time since they'd seen each other. Taylor unceremoniously said she needed help, and she'd been tempted to have a drink the other night.
Taylor conveyed her temptation to drink someone else's discarded glass of wine. She'd wanted to pick it up and down it. Lisa stated that Taylor hadn't done it. Taylor affirmed that she hadn't. In Lisa's view, it was a win, and Taylor had gotten through it.
Taylor replied that she just wanted to get her life together for many reasons. Lisa said the reasons were Kelly and Taylor. Lisa asked Taylor not to be down on herself because, someday, Taylor would be in Lisa's shoes, in her own office, sponsoring another in need while patients waited outside the door.
Taylor was merely interested in getting through that day. Lisa was confident that Taylor would. Lisa asked Taylor to wait there while Lisa checked on a patient. Taylor agreed, and Lisa exited, leaving the door open.
Just then, Reese strode by Dr. Burr's office and noticed Taylor inside. He entered the office, greeted her, and remarked that it was a small world. He wondered if everything was okay with her and if she was a patient there. "Sort of," Taylor meekly replied. Shrugging, he decided that whatever the reason for her appearance, he was glad to see her.
Taylor volunteered that she and Dr. Burr were friends, but Reese noted that Taylor had said she was sort of a patient. Chuckling, Taylor acknowledged that she'd said it. He remarked that she was a mysterious woman. "To myself, most of all," she responded. He asked what she meant.
Taylor said that when a person thought she had life down pat, that was when the person was really in trouble. "And you are?" Reese asked. Claiming to be speaking generally, she asked if he'd ever felt like that. Reese was sure he had, but he tried not to be too introspective. He remarked that Taylor, on the other hand, delved into the mind each time she was with a patient.
Taylor chuckled, and Reese said he loved her laugh. Even though they'd just met, he found it interesting that he'd run into the very person he'd been with the night before the very next day at the hospital. Taylor asked if it was a sign or something. He thought it could be, and he felt as if he'd known her longer than twelve hours. He also sensed that something was upsetting her, and he said he'd be honored if she'd let him help her.
At Steffy's house, Liam and Steffy discussed that Liam was worried about Taylor's interaction with Kelly, Hope, and Brooke. Steffy was worried that Hope and Brooke might tell someone else that her mother had shot Bill. "Hope and Brooke think my mom is dangerous," Steffy said.
Liam was more concerned about Taylor's actions and condition than anything that Brooke or Hope might do or say. Steffy defended her mother and said that Taylor was in therapy and was improving. Steffy worried that Taylor needed her family around her. "We can't just cut her out of Kelly's life," Steffy said.
Steffy promised that good things would happen if Taylor stayed in Los Angeles. Liam argued that he couldn't ignore what Taylor had done to his father. Steffy said that her mom had made "a terrible decision," and she would have to live with it for the rest of her life. Steffy was grateful Liam's father had agreed not to say anything. "No one can know. Hope and Brooke can't say a word to anyone," Steffy said.
Liam was still concerned. Steffy said she understood, but she promised that her mom wasn't dangerous. Steffy worried that Brooke was Taylor's worst enemy. "What if they tell someone else?" Steffy wondered about Brooke and Hope.
Steffy insisted that her mother needed her family around her for support, and Taylor needed to alleviate stress. Steffy was convinced Taylor could get better with family around her. Liam was still worried about Kelly, his unborn child, and Hope. "My mom is getting better, Liam," Steffy insisted. She added that Taylor was fragile, and anxiety wasn't healthy for her.
Steffy wanted Kelly to spend time with her grandmother because she remembered how important her own time with her grandmother had been, and she wanted Kelly to feel the same closeness. Steffy felt that time with her grandmother had been "precious" to her. "She was always there," Steffy said. Steffy begged Liam to talk to Hope and persuade her to convince Brooke to leave Taylor alone.
At a medical office, Taylor had run into Reese. They discovered that they both had connections to the same doctor and were working with her. They discussed that Taylor had been comfortable "oversharing" her problems at Steffy's party. Reese said it was rare to find someone brave enough to share her feelings.
Taylor said it had been embarrassing to bare her grievances to a stranger. They discussed that Taylor had a nemesis named Brooke Logan. Taylor blamed Brooke for wanting to keep her away from her granddaughter. Taylor explained that they had a history, and Brooke was married to Steffy's father.
Reese sympathized and felt Brooke was unfair. Taylor called Brooke relentless and hoped that Steffy and Liam didn't listen to Brooke. "There I go again, talking about my problems," Taylor said.
Reese said that he was a good listener, and Taylor said she appreciated him. He hoped she had someone to vent to, and Taylor said her daughter was her rock. Reese assumed Taylor had a man in her life to listen to and care for her, but Taylor said it had been a long time since anyone had been in her life.
Reese couldn't believe an attractive woman like Taylor had no one in her life. Taylor admitted it had been a long time, and she had been lonely. She lamented that she couldn't remember the last time anyone had held her. Reese moved in and kissed her. Taylor didn't back away.
At Forrester, Brooke told Katie, Hope, and Donna that she was worried about Taylor and felt she was dangerous. Donna asked if Taylor had been drinking again. Katie wondered if something had happened. Brooke was vague, and the women began to speculate on why Taylor had returned and if she was all right.
Hope asked them not to speculate, but Donna noted that they were "taking a shot in the dark" at figuring out what was wrong with Taylor. Funny you put it that way," Brooke said. Katie wondered if Taylor had reopened her practice, but Brooke maintained that Taylor was in "no position to be counseling anybody."
Brooke added that Taylor shouldn't be spending any time with Kelly. Katie argued that Steffy and Liam were responsible parents, and it was none of Brooke's business what they did. There was nothing she could do about Taylor's contact with Kelly. Brooke was defiant. "Oh, yes, there is. There most certainly is," Brooke said.
Donna and Katie asked again what Brooke knew that she wasn't sharing. Hope interrupted and begged her mother to stop because Hope and Steffy had wanted to build a bridge between the families, and she didn't want "tension between our mothers." Katie suggested that she and Donna needed to stay out of the discussion, and leave it to Brooke and Hope to settle. Donna and Katie left.
Hope worried that her mother had seemed ready to tell Katie and Donna about Taylor. Brooke countered that she planned to protect Hope and her baby from Taylor. "She could be dangerous for all of us," Brooke said.
In another part of Forrester, Xander and Zoe discussed that Zoe was worried about having her dad, Reese, around. Xander noted that her dad had seemed "pretty chill" when he had met him in England. Zoe said that she felt she was being a bit selfish because she wanted Los Angeles to be "our place," where she and Xander would start a new adventure and have a fresh start.
Xander wondered if Zoe's dad was looking for the same thing. He noted that her dad had a great opportunity with the work he would be doing at a prestigious hospital.
Zoe agreed; however, she said her dad made a habit of spending time with women, but he never stayed with anyone for long. He also couldn't be alone, so he always found attractive women. Zoe worried that Reese had set his sights on Taylor -- Steffy's mom. Xander countered that Taylor and Reese had a lot in common. Xander encouraged Zoe not to worry about her father. They kissed, and Zoe looked anxious.
At the hospital, Taylor expressed surprise that Reese had just kissed her. Apologizing, Reese said he hadn't planned it. He'd just been feeling a connection. "Am I the only one out here?" he asked. Giggling, Taylor said she wasn't ready for kisses, but she did like him.
Reese apologized again, but Taylor didn't think any apology was necessary. He was glad and said he'd never forgive himself if he drove her away. He hoped that they could see more of each other. She told him that she'd be open to it -- if she was still around.
Reese asked if Taylor was leaving town. Taylor replied that she'd thought about it. Disappointed, he said it would be a big loss to the city and him if she left. He considered her to be his only friend there, and he hoped that she'd reconsider leaving.
At the cliff house, Steffy continued to try to convince Liam to keep Brooke and Hope from taking Taylor away from Steffy and Kelly. Steffy reasoned that Liam was a great father, but he couldn't always be there. She said her mother could fill the void. She implored him to tell Hope and Brooke to back off and leave Taylor alone.
Liam conveyed that he wanted to do what was best for his daughters. Steffy asked him to trust that she knew what that was. The undecided Liam said he had to get back to Forrester.
Later, Liam was gone, and Taylor had arrived. Steffy inquired about Taylor's visit to her sponsor. Taylor relayed that she and Lisa had met briefly because it had been the middle of a workday. Steffy thought that a sponsor was supposed to make time for those kinds of talks.
Taylor insisted that she wasn't on the verge of drinking. There had just been a moment of weakness, and Taylor didn't want Steffy worrying that Taylor would blow her sobriety. Steffy noted that Taylor had been gone for a while, and Taylor explained that she'd encountered Dr. Buckingham, who was quite the charmer. Citing Taylor and Reese's interaction at the party, Steffy concluded that he felt the same way about Taylor -- and then some.
Taylor brushed it off as Reese being a friendly guy. She said that, even if he was interested in her, she'd told him that she might be leaving town. Steffy opposed the idea. Taylor didn't know how Steffy thought it was possible for Taylor to stay after Brooke and Hope had learned about her role in the shooting. Taylor felt threatened by it. Steffy replied that they'd work it out.
"How? Both of those women can't stand me!" Taylor responded. Steffy didn't think Hope or Brooke wanted to see Taylor in prison. Steffy said that no one did, not even Bill. Taylor moved on to the next problem with her presence. Taylor didn't want to rock the boat while Steffy tried to build a family with Liam, Hope, and the children. Taylor thought she needed to leave town.
Taylor wished she'd never been in Los Angeles that night. Steffy said that no one cared what Brooke and Hope thought about the shooting. Taylor insisted that Hope and Brooke held Taylor's future in their hands and could call the police at any time. Steffy refused to let the women do it and said she knew how to fight back.
Taylor didn't want Steffy fighting over her. She didn't want Steffy tangling with Bill again, either. Taylor also didn't want to be a wedge between Steffy and Liam. Steffy claimed that Taylor hadn't said anything that Steffy couldn't handle. Steffy wanted Taylor to not only stay in L.A., but to move into the cliff house as soon as possible.
Taylor was proud of the life Steffy was building with much grace and dignity. She didn't know how Steffy could watch Liam make a life with Hope. Taylor saw Steffy forging a strong relationship between Liam and Kelly. Taylor hadn't been able to get beyond the resentment to do the same for Thomas, Steffy, and Phoebe.
Taylor didn't want Steffy to be caught in the middle, fighting to defend Taylor. Taylor was very ashamed of what she'd done and guessed she was a horrible person, as Brooke and Hope had said. Steffy disagreed. She stated that Taylor couldn't take back what had happened, but Taylor could move forward with Steffy and Kelly at the cliff house.
Taylor asked about Brooke and Hope. Steffy said Brooke and Hope could huff and puff all they wanted because Bill had agreed to keep quiet. "And they will, too. Just tell me you'll move in," Steffy replied. Taylor decided to live there if Steffy needed her, and the women hugged.
In the CEO's office, Hope couldn't believe Brooke had intended to tell her sisters about Taylor. Brooke felt that her sisters should know if Taylor could put Hope in jeopardy. Brooke was worried that Taylor might snap in a moment alone with Kelly or Hope. Hope said it would be best if someone could persuade Taylor to leave town, and Brooke agreed.
Hope's problem was that being opposed to Taylor's presence put Hope at odds with Steffy. Brooke replied that Steffy wanted to think the best of her mother, but Steffy might be wrong. Brooke felt the need to protect the babies. Hope was leery of startling a battle with Taylor while Hope and Steffy were trying to make their family work.
Tiffany, Emma's best friend and Forrester's new intern, arrived. Emma had recommended that Tiffany work there when Emma had dropped down to part-time due to school. Brooke gave Tiffany some tasks to do and an envelope to deliver to Zoe.
Later, Liam arrived, and Hope and Brooke were anxious to hear how the visit had gone at the cliff house. Liam said it had gone fine, and Taylor had left because she'd needed to see her sponsor. Shocked, Brooke asked if Taylor had started drinking again.
Liam didn't want the ladies jumping to the wrong conclusions. Hope asked why Taylor had needed to see her sponsor. He relayed that Taylor had had an urge, but she'd been responsible enough to seek out her sponsor instead of giving in to it. Brooke thought the temptation was a red flag and insisted that Liam step up and protect Kelly -- even from her grandmother.
Brooke advised Liam to convince Steffy that Taylor needed to go back to Paris and only return for supervised visits. Liam asserted that Steffy would never go for that. Hope said Kelly had to rank before any other of Steffy's loyalties. Liam conveyed that he'd discussed things with Steffy, and he had a hard time imagining Taylor harming Kelly.
Hope asked if he could see Taylor shooting Bill. Hope wasn't only worried about Kelly. Hope was concerned that Taylor would go after Brooke. Hope was also worried that Taylor would go after Hope for "stealing" Liam. Noting that he had influence with Steffy, Hope asked Liam to get Steffy to keep Taylor in check.
In the studio, Zoe brooded as she applied her makeup. Xander figured that she was still upset about her father. She asked why Reese had shown up just when she was getting her life together. She felt that he'd mess it up just by being himself. Xander asked if she were overthinking it. Zoe said Reese was getting too close to home by hovering around Dr. Hayes.
Zoe was happy to get another chance with Xander. She hadn't thought it would be possible. Xander joked that she could have fooled him by the way she'd packed up and moved there. Zoe quipped that he obviously hadn't been returning to London.
Xander called Zoe stubborn and said she just didn't listen when people said things she didn't want to hear. She wondered if that was supposed to be a compliment. He affirmed it and said he wouldn't have her any other way.
As Zoe and Xander kissed, Tiffany arrived and said Brooke had wanted her to give the envelope to Zoe. Guessing that it was her check, Zoe thanked Tiffany.
Reese entered. Upon seeing Tiffany, he became excited to meet a new model. Tiffany stated that she might be a model someday, but right then, she was just an intern. Zoe introduced Tiffany to Reese, and Reese stated that Forrester was the place to be if Tiffany wanted to model.
Tiffany excused herself, and Zoe noted that Reese looked pleased with himself. Reese replied that he'd just encountered Dr. Hayes, and some things had a way of happening right on time. Zoe had a hard time believing that he'd just bumped into the doctor. Reese noted that Zoe always made leaps of faith, but she was too pragmatic with him.
Reese didn't want Zoe to worry. He said he and Dr. Hayes were just getting to know each other, and fate was just nudging them along. Zoe told Xander that "fate" was Reese's favorite excuse for acting like a teenager. Zoe told her father that she'd just started to make a life for herself, and she didn't want anyone or anything to mess it up.
Gesturing to Xander, Reese said it made three of them. Reese claimed that he wasn't out to cramp Zoe's style. He was just living his life. Zoe asked if Reese really had to do it there. Reese said that running into Taylor was a sign that he was supposed to be in Los Angeles, but there was just one problem -- Taylor was considering leaving town.
Zoe asked what it mattered to Reese, who barely knew Taylor. Reese posited that sometimes people had connections that transcended the boundaries of time. "Wow," Zoe sardonically quipped. Xander replied uneasily that Reese was quite the romantic. Zoe hoped Reese wasn't looking at her boss's mom that way.
Reese decided that it was way too early for that and claimed not to be looking at it from a personal perspective. He said that Taylor had a lot to work through and would need her family to be close in order to accomplish it. "And if you just happen to be close as well?" Zoe asked.
At Wyatt's beach house, Sally tried to teach Wyatt a yoga stretch, but he fell over. Sally guessed that he hadn't been truthful when he'd said he had yoga experience. Wyatt confessed that he'd had one class several years back. She asked if he hated it. "No! Not when you do it," he replied.
Wyatt asked if Sally really wanted to pitch a new yoga line to the Forresters. He suggested a bikini line instead. Sally believed that athletic wear was a burgeoning market. Wyatt decided that he was ready for more Downward Dog or "Upward Cat," as long as she went easy on him.
After their session, Sally and Wyatt rolled up their yoga mats as Wyatt talked about how he'd gotten hot and bothered by the "yoga instructor." He joked that he wanted his instructor's number. Sally was sure he could get it. He believed that Steffy and Ridge would be excited about Sally's yoga line. He thought she should be proud of herself, and he said that he was.
Sally said she was proud of herself, and most of the time, she was confident. Her career at Forrester was different from owning Spectra. At Spectra, she'd been in charge, and she'd had no one to impress there but herself. Being another cog in the wheel at Forrester intimidated her.
Wyatt imagined that Sally would have made Spectra a success. He wished she'd had more time to do it. Sally wished the same thing; however, she figured that dreams evolved, and she wouldn't have Wyatt if things had unfolded differently.
Later, Wyatt and Sally cuddled in bed. Wyatt said he'd been thinking. He began stammering as he reasoned that he was a jokester, but he'd shown her. He stated that he hadn't actually said it to her yet. Sitting up, Sally asked if he was talking about "the three little words." He stuttered. She said he'd shown her how he felt, and "I'm not really the type of girl that needs to hear -- "
"I love you," Wyatt blurted out. Sally gasped and decided that maybe she was the type of girl who needed to hear it. She told him that she loved him, too, and they kissed.
At the cliff house, Steffy and Taylor were excited about Taylor moving in. Steffy was psyched to have a live-in babysitter. Taylor said she'd do anything for Steffy. Steffy felt the same way about her mother. Taylor agreed to move in, as long as it didn't cause problems for Steffy and Liam.
Steffy promised that it wouldn't, but Taylor stated that Liam's wife and mother-in-law thought she was dangerous. Steffy believed that Hope and Brooke were just in shock still about what had happened. Steffy reasoned that Taylor had done something terrible, but that didn't mean that she was a threat or a danger to anyone.
Taylor replied that she and Steffy knew that, but Brooke was on a campaign to smear Taylor. Steffy urged Taylor to focus on herself and living there with her daughter and granddaughter. Steffy was sure Taylor would soon see that Brooke's opinions didn't matter and never had.
Taylor thanked Steffy for everything she'd done for Taylor. Taylor didn't know how she would have survived the past few months without her daughter. Steffy said that Taylor had proven that she could survive anything, and she was Steffy's hero. Taylor figured that the woman she'd once been was the hero, but Steffy insisted it was who Taylor was that day.
Steffy stated that she was proud to be Taylor's daughter. Taylor felt lucky to have her son and daughter and that she'd had Phoebe for a time, too. Watching Steffy become an accomplished woman made Taylor miss Phoebe even more. Taylor wondered what kind of woman Phoebe would have been. Steffy was sure her sister would be right there, supporting Taylor, just as Steffy was.
Steffy decided to reveal a secret. She claimed that, early in her pregnancy, she'd thought she'd been having twins. She'd been a little upset that she hadn't been because she'd wanted her baby to have what she'd had growing up. Steffy wondered who an only child would have to fight with and confide in. Steffy believed that her instincts had been right because, as it turned out, Kelly would have a sister. Steffy wanted the sisters to be just as close as she and Phoebe had been. Steffy hoped they'd get more time than she and Phoebe had had.
Taylor said that most women would be jealous because of Hope's baby, but not Steffy. Instead, Steffy wanted to embrace the child. Taylor hoped that she and Brooke could learn from it. Taylor didn't want to cause problems with the family Steffy was creating. Steffy replied that Taylor wouldn't, and neither would Brooke.
Steffy asked if Taylor could watch Kelly. Taylor agreed to do it but wondered why. Steffy explained that she'd asked Liam to talk to Brooke and Hope, but Steffy had started to think that she needed to do it herself. Steffy stated that she and Hope didn't want to fight. Instead, they wanted to be on the same page for their daughters and their mothers.
At Forrester, Liam attempted to get Brooke and Hope to see that Taylor had made a good choice about the temptation to drink. Brooke didn't think one good choice negated the bad choices. Hope and Brooke insisted that Taylor was a danger until she proved otherwise.
Brooke and Hope didn't see how it was possible for Liam to raise his daughters in a close-knit family as long as Taylor was near. Hope asserted that she would not let her child be alone with Taylor. Hope asked how they could be a happy and functioning family with someone as volatile as Taylor around. Liam said the choice wasn't as easy as it sounded.
Liam claimed to understand both sides of the issue. He asked how Brooke would like to be told that she couldn't see her granddaughter. "If I'm drinking and shooting people in the back, I hope to God you would tell me that and more! Talk some sense into him, will you?" Brooke said, grabbing her purse. Hope asked where Brooke was going. Brooke said that if she couldn't get reassurances from Kelly's father, then she'd talk to Kelly's mother.
Later, Brooke was gone, and Liam began worrying that Brooke talking to Steffy would backfire. Just then, Steffy arrived. She was glad they were both there. Hope asked if Steffy had spoken to Brooke. Steffy hadn't. She'd hoped Brooke would be there to hear the news Steffy had. Steffy announced that she'd asked her mother to move into the cliff house.
Liam asked if it was just until Taylor found a place. Steffy replied that it was for as long as Taylor wanted to stay there. Steffy was excited about doing the "multi-generational thing" and having a live-in babysitter. Hope asked if Steffy was sure it was wise. Steffy was and said it would be nice to have her mother as backup because Amelia's schedule was all over the place.
Hope asked if Taylor was home alone with Kelly right then. "Let me stop you right there," Steffy said. She appreciated Hope's concern but said it wasn't Hope's business if Taylor watched Steffy's child. Hope replied that it might not be, but it was Liam's. Steffy looked expectantly at Liam. Hope asked Liam if he was really comfortable with Taylor being alone with Kelly.
Back at the cliff house, Taylor answered the door with Kelly in her arms. On the doorstep was Brooke, who greeted Kelly and asked if Steffy was there. Taylor said Steffy was at the office. Brooke guessed that she should have called ahead. "I guess so," Taylor said in a snotty tone.
Brooke decided that she and Taylor could take the time to talk, and Brooke asked if Amelia could put the baby down. Taylor said Amelia wasn't there. Brooke asked if Taylor was there alone. "I'm taking care of my granddaughter, and you better not have anything bad to say about it," Taylor replied.
Taylor put the baby down in the bedroom and expressed surprise when she returned to the living room and saw that Brooke was still there. Brooke said she'd told Taylor that she'd wait. Taylor didn't want to hear any more lectures about how she shouldn't be alone with her own granddaughter. Brooke claimed that she hadn't intended to give any lectures.
Taylor said she'd seen the contempt in Brooke's eyes; Brooke had been staring as if she thought Taylor would hurt her own grandchild. Brooke replied that Taylor wouldn't do it intentionally. Taylor expressed love for her grandchild and said she'd die for Kelly. Brooke added that Taylor would probably put a bullet in someone's back to protect Kelly, too.
Taylor asked if Brooke was really that cruel. Noting that Taylor was battling demons, Brooke said she'd thought Taylor would realize the danger and remove herself. Taylor asked if Brooke was back to ordering Taylor out of town. Brooke said she wasn't saying that. Brooke was asking Taylor to do the right thing for Kelly, Kelly's little sister, and the family that Hope, Steffy, and Liam were building.
Taylor asserted that she wasn't doing anything to chip away at what Hope, Steffy, and Liam were building. Brooke disagreed, citing the fact that Hope wasn't comfortable around Taylor. Brooke said Liam wasn't either, because Taylor had shot his father, Kelly's grandfather. Brooke asked what would happen if Taylor snapped again or decided to crack open a bottle of wine while watching Kelly. Brooke asked Taylor to do the right thing for their children and grandchildren and to not stand in the way of the life they were creating.
Taylor summarized that she was standing in the way and should leave town because Hope was uncomfortable. Brooke said that was exactly right. Taylor revealed that she'd told Steffy that it made sense for Taylor to go. Relieved, Brooke asked why Taylor hadn't just said so sooner. Brooke asked when Taylor was leaving. Taylor replied that she wasn't leaving because Steffy had insisted that Taylor move into the cliff house.
"What?" Brooke exclaimed. Taylor stated that she wasn't going anywhere and would be right there in that house. Taylor intended to be there alone, taking care of her granddaughter, because it was exactly where she belonged.
