Jack and Dr. Weiskopf arrive at the courthouse and the doctor testifies that Julia is a danger to herself and others. Julia's lawyer informs the judge that Julia has escaped. Jack and Carly run home to make sure the baby is okay and discover that the nurse and Jack Jr. are missing. Jack goes off to search for the baby. Julia emerges from the shadows pretending to hold the baby in her arms. She outlines her plan to destroy Carly and Jack's marriage. She throws the bundle at Carly and runs off. Carly unwraps the blanket only to find a frozen turkey inside. Jack returns home and soon after, the nurse and Jackie, Jr. return home from an innocent walk in the park. Margo is furious when the hotel manager recants his identification of James. Jessica demands that Marshall take a stand against James. In private, Marshall does, threatening to prosecute him for last year's kidnappings. When James swears he'll never give the precious information Marshall's worked so hard to get from him, Marshall backs down. Bonnie and Isaac bring word to Paul that they're trying to discover the connection between Marshall and Stenbeck. Paul says that the only person who might have that information is Barbara, but she can't be trusted. Nevertheless, Bonnie and Isaac approach Barbara and she reluctantly agrees to see what she can find out from James. At the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Alison, Aaron and Lucy sell trinkets to raise some gas money. They have a close call with Hal, but are able to blend into the crowd because they're wearing face paint.
After Marshall refuses to press charges, Jessica and Margo are forced to release James. Jessica gives Paul the news and later tells Bonnie that her witness retracted their statement. Despite Jessica's protests, a furious Bonnie vows to continue her investigation.
Isaac suspects that Jessica and Marshall may have had an affair and that Bonnie is lying to him about it. Ben arrives, preventing Isaac from further questioning Bonnie. Later, Isaac tells Bonnie that if he discovers that Jessica was unfaithful to Ben, he will tell Ben and then deal with Bonnie.
At first, Carly is sympathetic towards Emily when she admits that she may be losing Hal, but later snaps as the struggle with her obligation to Jack's baby and her hatred of Julia gets the best of her. Margo arrives and informs Jack and Carly that Julia is on her way to Turkey. Afterwards, Carly becomes physically ill when Jack suggests they tell Parker that the baby is here to stay. Later, Margo gives Emily the information on Hal's location, who vows to bring him home.
Despite John's objections, Barbara plots to spend Thanksgiving with James at Fairwinds. When Barbara finds out that Paul chose to protect her over being released from jail, she visits him and promises to help him by getting close to James. Barbara is then touched when Paul allows her to hug him.
Lucy, Aaron and Alison make a rest stop on their way to Vanderbilt University. While Alison is out of the car, Aaron and Lucy take advantage of their time alone.
It's Thanksgiving in Oakdale...
Emily shows up at Hal's hotel room and tries to convince him to go home for Thanksgiving. Hal says he feels a responsibility to look for Aaron. Emily feels like Hal is pushing her away. She tells Hal that he is leaving her when her life could be in danger and that he is on a "wild goose chase." He asks her for loyalty and faith in his judgment. He wonders what kind of marriage they really have. Emily gets upset and leaves.
Jessica and Ben host Thanksgiving. Bonnie tells her mother that Isaac knows what happened between Marshall and Jessica and he wants to tell Ben. Isaac is angry and goes into a tirade about Marshall going after women already taken. Bob makes a toast - grateful for family, friends and health. Isaac is still clearly angry so Bonnie gets up and says she'll bring a dish over to Paul in jail. Ben tells Isaac to go after her. Isaac finally does but they argue again. After Bonnie leaves, Isaac wants to leave too. Jessica walks him out and tells Isaac that her heart belongs to Ben and not to take out his hostility on Bonnie.
At Fairwinds, Barbara sees the table set and then James, dressed in a tux, comes out of the kitchen holding a champagne glass. Barbara is upset because Paul is in jail. She asks James if he has Marshall under control. She questions James about Marshall. James says he met Marshall in Rio and that they had mutual friends. James then kisses Barbara but she tells him she is in love with John Dixon. James gets angry and breaks the glass he is holding. He tells Barbara, "I fixed your face don't make me regret it." At that moment, the doorbell rings. Barbara goes to the door and James hides as his hand bleeds from the broken glass. It is Bonnie at the door. They realize James has left and Barbara tells Bonnie she is happy that she came over because she was scared. Bonnie sees the hood of a cape in the fireplace. She takes it out, saying that James has finally made a mistake.
At the Snyder farm, Molly and Mike join Emma, Jack and Carly. When Mike and Carly are left alone, Carly tells Mike that she is upset because they are lying to people that love them. Mike says he feels horrible too but he is trying to make things right. Carly begins to cry and Mike comforts her just as Jack and Molly walk into the room. Jack thinks Carly is upset because of the baby. Molly and Carly go outside for some air. Carly tells Molly that she is mad at "the situation." She says that she hates Jack's son. Later, Parker asks if he can see the baby. Carly freezes then runs out of the room. Molly runs after her and Carly says that her emotions are running high and she feels nauseous. Molly asks Carly if she could be pregnant. Carly says that is the last thing her and Jack need right now.
Lucy, Aaron and Alison find a church mission and eat Thanksgiving dinner there. The priest says "It's hard to stay one step ahead of the law on empty stomachs." They are worried but the priest assures them that the mission is a sanctuary and he will not turn them in.
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, As The World Turns did not air today. Programming will resume on Monday, December 2nd where Wednesday's show concluded.
