Having Brooke's character suffer through her traumatic rape may have helped the plots surrounding her, but it certainly did not help her character transform at all.
January 14, 2008
Felicia's entire life seems to be tied up in running around like a petulant teenager who is upset that her parents are splitting up. She needs to grow up and take care of her own child.
January 21, 2008
Brooke and Taylor have each garnered a long-standing, loyal fan base over the years, as the writers have been pitting them against each other over and over again.
January 28, 2008
Rick might be the lone voice of reason in this whole mess. He sees everything clearer than the parties involved, and he provided a nice little reality check for his mother last week.
February 4, 2008
Last week, the writers had Taylor make a truly brilliant move to smoke out Brooke's true intentions where Nick and the baby are concerned.
February 11, 2008
Taylor already has a problem with Brooke; how will it mess with her head if she ends up with Brooke as her mother-in-law? Granted, Rick is the only man who has NOT slept with Brooke, but still!
February 18, 2008
Eric has been leaving the office for hours at a time, sleeping in a separate bedroom, and leaving his Viagra bottle out for Stephanie to find and take inventory of. It's like he wants to get caught.
February 25, 2008
For years, Stephanie has blackmailed, manipulated, and been an accessory to murder, all in the name of protecting her family...or, more specifically, in the name of protecting Ridge.
March 3, 2008
If Taylor were being written true to her character, she would have realized that it would be in her child's best interest for Nick to raise him so that she could deal with her issues with Brooke.
March 10, 2008
Ridge has had nearly all of the Logan women except Katie, and Eric has almost pulled off the hat-trick in that family as well...oh, wait! He did, if you include their mother!
March 17, 2008
Does anyone get the feeling that Brooke is like the neighborhood dog that goes around peeing on hydrants to mark their territory?
March 24, 2008
Donna and Pam are having far too much fun in their scenes. Just watching Donna jump right out of her undies when Pam screamed last week was well worth it.
March 31, 2008
Nick has become just as much of a human ping-pong ball as Brooke. Whereas Brooke usually has to have two men fighting over her at all times, now Nick is showing her up with three women wanting him.
April 07, 2008
Brooke is the poster child for hypocrisy, and nothing proved that more than her blowing into Nick's house, ranting about him sleeping with Bridget.
April 14, 2008
For weeks, Ridge has been dancing around the fact that he doesn't feel like he can marry Brooke, since she clearly loves Nick and Jack more...so why hasn't he ended the engagement yet?
April 21, 2008
Don't Thorne and Felicia have better things that they could be doing, instead of hanging around and eating Pam's baked goods?
April 28, 2008
Dear, sweet Katie is probably not the only person in Los Angeles who needs a heart transplant. She should be thankful that Bridget wasn't the one who performed the surgery!
May 5, 2008
The Logans have proven that, when united and focused on more than just revenge on the Forresters, they can be a very entertaining bunch to watch.
May 12, 2008
Stephanie, let your kids live their lives and make their own mistakes. Oh, and one more thing...remember that you have another son besides Ridge. Poor Thorne needs a lot of attention.
May 19, 2008
Bridget will be doing a lot of long nights at the hospital while Nick and Katie play footsy over another jigsaw puzzle.
May 26, 2008
Is Taylor as bad as Brooke? They could both be accused of not thinking too clearly when it comes to men; Brooke just has a longer track record than Taylor.
June 2, 2008
Donna's secret child is hardly a scandal that can make Forrester Creations fold. If that's the case, the company should have closed twenty years ago, because they've been through much worse.
June 9, 2008
Where is Thomas? With all of this emphasis on Ridge's kids being involved at Forrester, Thomas should be there to blast Rick about dating Taylor or something, shouldn't he?
June 16, 2008
Eric may be a bit slow to see what's going on with his kids -- especially Brooke's kiddies -- but for the most part, he's an okay dad.
June 23, 2008
Nick doesn't mince words, and, with the exception of his weakness for Logan women, he has no problem doing what he thinks is right.
June 30, 2008
Last week, Beth confessed to Katie that she couldn't stay in Los Angeles and be with her family because she's had a stroke and is suffering from dementia.
July 7, 2008
When will Katie learn? Now she is practically forcing Nick to marry Bridget. If he wanted to do that, he would have asked St. Bridget after her most recent medical miracle, right?
July 14, 2008
A day of Taylor and Rick between the sheets was a bit too much love for one day. Don't these people work anymore? And if Taylor is so concerned about Jack, where is the little guy?
July 21, 2008
Marcus is a nice, neat little addition to the cast, and he ships a mean package, but does that really make him deserving of money down the road?
July 28, 2008
Why doesn't Steffy want to know who raised Marcus? He was clearly brought up very well, so why aren't his adopted parents calling to see how he's doing?
August 4, 2008
It's too bad that Owen is quickly headed into the gutter, but that may be the point. There hasn't been a manipulative bad-boy since Deacon stopped wreaking havoc on the ladies of Los Angeles.
August 11, 2008
Katie's pregnancy is being portrayed as a miracle, just like Katie surviving the transplant was a miracle. Of course, getting shot by Storm wasn't a miracle. That was just stupidity.
August 18, 2008
Does Donna really love Eric, or is this all just a cleverly disguised ruse to steal all of his money and get even with the Forrester kids?
August 25, 2008
Owen is most assuredly not who he pretends to be. There must be some connection to somebody else on the show, because he's been focused on the Forresters like a laser beam since he appeared.
September 1, 2008
Last week's revelations have helped to explain why crazy Aunt Pam has stuck around all this time with her catty shenanigans and poisoned lemon bars.
September 8, 2008
Our columnist was unable to provide a new column this week. Instead, please enjoy a look back at what was happening in Los Angeles during the week of September 6, 2004.
September 15, 2008
Nick used to be dashing, sarcastic, and hot, but lately he's been written as nothing more than an over-the-top, horny SOB who can't use protection or think beyond his next sexual impulse.
September 22, 2008
Stephanie sure is acting like Eric's one and only wife. Doesn't anyone recall that she had moved out of the mansion, that she was living in the beach house, and that Eric had moved on?
September 29, 2008
Taylor has a hot young thing lying next to her, who seems to really love her, and she is thinking about the husband who habitually cheated on her with Brooke?
October 6, 2008
Thorne, Felicia, and Stephanie have no right to be so high and mighty. They've all done horrific things in their time, and they shouldn't stand in judgment of Donna the way that they do.
October 13, 2008
Does Stephanie even understand how disturbed Pam really is? She seems to be in deep denial about just how far Pam would go to kill Donna.
October 20, 2008
Taylor's supposed to be one of the most ethical characters on the show, a morally righteous, brilliant woman. She could have at least broken up with Rick first, before propositioning Ridge.
October 27, 2008
Just when it looked like Donna wasn't the woman she had portrayed herself to be, she goes and does the noble and selfless thing.
November 3, 2008
When Rick came to in the hospital and realized that Ridge had again been responsible for screwing up his life, he snapped. The switch has been flipped, and a new Rick is emerging.
November 10, 2008
Brooke needs to stay the same teddy-wearing, one-tear producing, rarely aging character the fans need her to be, because that's what keeps them coming back, right?
November 17, 2008
Why was Stephanie stunned to learn that Rick was such a schemer? She's capable of that kind of duplicity and manipulation, so it's not surprising that another member of the family would be, too.
November 24, 2008
Rick just can't catch a break. All of his maniacal schemes to keep Brooke and Ridge apart seem doomed to fail, and his attempt to send Marcus on a wild goose chase didn't work, either.
December 1, 2008
Last week, Thorne, the good, upright, honest Forrester, resorted to underhanded tactics to destroy his father's marriage, then justified it by saying that he wants his parents to reunite.
December 8, 2008
Eventually, Eric will discover that Donna was not unfaithful to him. But by that time, perhaps she will be with Owen for real, and maybe she will even be pregnant with a little brother for Marcus.
December 15, 2008
Stephanie is out of line. Hurting Rick isn't going to bring Phoebe back, and screaming at Brooke isn't going to alleviate the pain that everyone is feeling.
