Internationally known rock star Zarf agreed to sign on as a spokesperson for Fusion cosmetics after meeting with Babe Chandler and Josh Madden. He suddenly showed up in town shortly before Simone was murdered, and his coincidental appearance made him an interesting suspect when the others suspected he had supplied Simone with the drugs that had killed her.
Zarf didn't kill Simone, but he was harboring another secret -- two, actually. The first was that he was smitten with Bianca Montgomery. The second was something much more personal. Bianca, a lesbian, was reluctant to go out on a date with Zarf, but she relented as New Year's Eve 2006 approached. When Zarf showed up wearing a dress and makeup, Bianca was furious and lashed out at Zarf for making a mockery of her sexuality. Zarf explained that what Bianca saw in front of her was the real Zarf. Zarf felt as though he'd been "born into the wrong body" -- and identified as female.
Over the next months, Zarf started to transition to living his life as Zoe. Bianca and Zoe grew closer and left for Europe together. Life on the road, though, made Zoe want to be her former rock star persona and she and Bianca eventually grew apart.
