Williams will play the host of the fictional talk show, How You Doin' Llanview. Okay, that part isn't true. Williams will, however, appear as Phyllis Rose, host of Access Llanview, during the show's "The Buchanans: A Family Under Siege" special.
A member of the National Radio Hall of Fame, Williams hosted The Wendy Williams Experience, which was broadcast on radio stations throughout the country. After more than two decades in radio, Williams launched her own nationally syndicated television talk show in 2009. Williams has also penned three best-selling books.
Williams taped two episodes in a single day, January 12. Those episodes will air on March 2 and March 28. In an interesting twist, William's second episode will also feature the already-taped appearance of reality star Kourtney Kardashian.
While hosting her talk show on January 24, Williams learned live on the air that One Life to Live wanted her back for more episodes.
"One Life to Live just called -- wants you to do three more shows!" a producer scrawled on a cue card.
It is unclear when Williams will head back to the OLTL studio or when her new batch of episodes will air.
