MARY MOSHOLDER
Mary is a regular viewer of As the World Turns (since 1993) and Guiding
Light.(since 1988). She began watching soaps in grade school in early
80's when she watched the final months of Search for Tomorrow and then
went on to watch The Young and the Restless. She has at some point been a
regular viewer of all the soaps currently on the air with the exception of
Passions. However ATWT and GL are the only soaps she's followed for an
extended amount of time. Though she is mostly familiar with her own
shows, she's tried to be objective and made her predictions based on who
she felt had the edge over the fellow nominees. (it just so happened that
most happened to be with her shows)
Previous Predictions
2000: 4 for 8
2001: 3 for 8
2002: 2 for 8
2003: 1 for 8
OUTSTANDING DRAMA SERIES
I'm going to go with As the World Turns here. I think they've had an
excellent year. Now that I think about it, so has Y&R, but I"ll stick
with ATWT.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTOR
Aleksander. Oh, there were so many good choiices in the category. And
the fact that I'm familiar with the work of 4 of the 6 nominees (and all
four are worthy of a win) made this even harder. It's a tough call, but
I'm going with Grant Aleksander based on what I saw of his perfomance
late last year.
OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS
Zimmer. Another tough one since I'm torn between Grahn, Zimmer, and
West. I'm going to go with Kim Zimmer based on what's on her reel.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTOR
Raines. I'm so torn between Hearst and Raines. I'm going to go with
Raines though based on his story early last year.
OUTSTANDING SUPPORTING ACTRESS
Brier. I'd pick Cady if this was next year's Emmy's since she's done
fantastic work in 2004. However, for now, I'm going to go with Kathy
Brier since 've heard a lot of good buzz about her.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTOR
Clifton. A tough one since I only know one of the nominees. But I"m
going to go with Scott Clifton since what's on his reel sounded
interesting.
OUTSTANDING YOUNGER ACTRESS
Riegel. I vote for her every time and she never wins. However, I'll
try again and go with Eden Riegel based on her story last year.
OUTSTANDING WRITING IN A DRAMA SERIES
I'll go with ATWT. The writing last year was very consistent with
stories interconnecting and affecting others.
