Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful were shocked and devastated when Courtney Hope and her character, Sally Spectra, were written off the canvas at the beginning of August. But the super sad turn of events has a happy ending: the actress has joined B&B's sister soap, The Young and the Restless!
Hope took to Instagram with a photo of herself wearing a Y&R shirt and holding a mug from Crimson Lights, the fictional Genoa City café. She captioned the fun and unexpected photo with the very cheeky tease, "This seems like a good fit..."
Y&R has since confirmed news of Hope's addition to its cast, and further details will be announced shortly. Keep checking back to Soap Central for updates as they come.
Hope made her debut as B&B's Sally Spectra -- the original Sally Spectra's (Darlene Conley) grandniece -- back in January of 2017. Her exit earlier this month was a surprise to fans, and judging from the actress' social media message regarding the wrap-up of her B&B journey, it may have been a surprise to her, as well. Hope called her final episode "an abrupt ending to a monumental journey" before sharing, "The last three years have been amazing, and though I do not know what the future holds this chapter of Sally has sadly come to an end. I love my [B&B] cast and crew and will miss everyone dearly, but await the day we may all play again. Some things are out of our control, and I thank the fans for your support through it all!"
Could it be that B&B wrote her out quickly because she was urgently needed at Y&R? Might the actress pop up on Y&R as her B&B alter ego, as many fans on social media are hoping? We'll let you know when more details become available!
