It's been over a year since Emmy-nominated actress Mishael Morgan (Hilary Hamilton) exited The Young and the Restless. The decision to write out the actress was wildly unpopular with viewers -- and it now appears that the top-rated CBS soap is going to try to right that wrong.
Though rumored for a month or two, CBS has confirmed Morgan's return with the release of an official promo video. What's even more surprising is that Morgan will first air today.
The soap has not confirmed exactly who Morgan will be playing, but according to the promo, "she's no ghost."

Morgan's former character, Hilary, was killed off in 2018 when Hilary succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident. Was that a dream? Was Hilary's death somehow staged so that she could receive out-of-town treatment?
Sources tell Soap Central that Morgan will interact with former on-screen love interest Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and that the on-screen reunion will definitely give fans something to talk about.
Morgan's first air date is Thursday, September 19.
