Starting in 2001, Zyla held the position of head costume designer for General Hospital, Port Charles, and All My Children, for which he received the 2010 Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design Emmy Award. Zyla also picked up six Emmy nominations during his time at AMC. For twenty years, Zyla has also designed shows for Broadway and regional theater productions, as well as commercials and film.

"It is indeed an honor and pleasure to step back into daytime television, and collaborate with such an extraordinary cast and production team on one of the most iconic television programs of all time," Zyla added.

Zyla has spent his career helping celebrity women express their own personal style, including Cindy Crawford, Susan Lucci, Hillary Clinton, Christine Baranski, and Alfre Woodard, as well as scores of everyday women, who have discovered the True Colors that have given them their own superstar style among the people who know them. By surrounding themselves with the right colors and style, these women haven't just learned the secret to looking and feeling great; they have also learned how to find more happiness and success by mastering and embracing their own personal style.

In 2011, Zyla released Color Your Style, the ultimate fashion guide for readers to easily discover the colors and style that most beautifully express their best style -- all within a reader's budget. Zyla says that his philosophy is that "every woman deserves to feel empowered and look fantastic, but no one needs to spend a fortune to do so."

Color Your Style is available now.

Earlier this year, The Young and the Restless earned a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Costume Design category. The award went to Costume Designers Scott Burkhart and Elif Inanc, and Costume Stylists Craig Aspden, Theresa Broadnax, Juliet Huerta, Tony Lorito, Andreea Moldovan, and Kay Wataguchi. Burkhart and Inanc are now part of the show's wardrobe team with Aspden, Broadnax, Lorito, and Moldovan.

Zyla teases that his work on Y&R "will appear full-force [this week] with a fabulous event." The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
