The Young and the Restless has made an unexpected casting change. Beginning next month, Sean Dominic will take over as Dr. Nate Hastings. No reason was given for the casting change.
Dominic is a daytime newcomer, appearing most recently as Jabari Johnson on the OWN series Greenleaf. In addition to the primetime soap, Dominic's other noteworthy roles include Code 13: Unreadable, Situationships, Makeup X Breakup, and According to Him + Her.
After Nate had been off the canvas for seven years, Darnell took over the role when he made his first appearance on July 3, 2018. Like Dominic, Y&R was Darnell's first daytime gig. Darnell last aired on March 26.
Dominic makes his first appearance on The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, April 10.
