With all of its musically inclined residents, The Young and the Restless' Genoa City is on track to become the next Nashville. And it looks like the next character to be cast on the CBS soap opera will help inch the fictional town more and more toward becoming a musical hot spot.
According to Daytime Confidential, Y&R has put out a casting call to fill the recurring role of Brandon, who is described as a sexy singer in his late 30s who has a "handsome face you will never forget."
When Brandon is introduced to viewers, he'll be in a fairly new band that is making waves in clubs across the country. He's got the power to weaken anyone with his killer smile but also has an "edgy" rock-'n'-roll aura about him.
Will Y&R's Brandon become the next Elvis Presley? Mick Jagger? David Bowie? Bruno Mars? Keep tuning in to the CBS soap opera to find out.
