'Tis the season to be jolly, and Netflix is helping spread Christmas magic for soap opera fans with its latest holiday movie plans. As it turns out, several big-name daytime actors are set to star in the streaming network's upcoming film Christmas With a View.
The Young and the Restless' Jess Walton (Jill Abbott) took to Facebook to announce her part in the feel-good flick and teased that she'll be starring opposite quite a beloved pair of former daytime stars: Patrick Duffy (ex-Stephen Logan, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Bobby Ewing, Dallas) and Vivica A. Fox (ex-Stephanie Simmons, Y&R).
"I'm heading to Canada to film a small role in a movie! The film is called Christmas With a View and it will be on Netflix," she shared. "I'll be shooting for three days and will play the wife of Patrick Duffy, who used to be on Dallas. Vivica A. Fox is in the movie, too! I'm thrilled to be part of this and spend some time near Toronto where I grew up."
Fox also took to social media to share some info about the holiday film. She posted a Boomerang photo to Instagram along with a caption that reveals Christmas With a View is being directed by Dare2Productions.
No other information about Christmas With a View has been released at this time, including whether or not the film will reach Netflix audiences this holiday season or if it's being scheduled for Christmas next year. Considering filming is happening now, it's safe to say the film is likely set for a 2018 debut.
