It's been a very happy holiday season for The Young and the Restless' Scott Elrod (ex-Joe Clark), who announced last week that he will soon be a first-time dad and has now announced that he has asked the baby's mother, Vanessa, to marry him.
"Merry Christmas everyone. She said YES!!!" the actor posted on Instagram along with a Christmas morning picture of him with his bride-to-be.
Just last week, Elrod took to social media to share the exciting news that he and Vanessa are expecting their first child together. "My #1 @vanessa_vazart and I have been blessed with a little peanut and now I get the greatest give of all which is to channel that love to him," he wrote of their upcoming bundle of joy. "I'm beyond excited for what the future brings."
Elrod joined Y&R in October of last year and recently departed the daytime drama. As previously reported, he'll be appearing on an upcoming episode of Grey's Anatomy.
