The most recent rumor surrounding The Young and the Restless has many of its viewers up in arms. Word on the street is that an upcoming story will spell the end of Sean Carrigan and his character, Dr. Ben "Stitch" Rayburn.
Numerous outlets have reported that the character, who's seemingly been little more than a background piece for months, could be a casualty of an explosion expected to happen at a Newman gala this November. Carrigan's contract expires around that time, and head writer Charles Pratt has teased that a big November Sweeps storyline will leave four characters dead -- one being a contract character who dies trying to save others.
If the rumor ends up being true, it will be a disappointment to many of the CBS soap's fans. Carrigan and his character have been fan favorites since the actor debuted as the loveable doctor in June of 2013.
At this time, there's no word on which other characters may be leaving the show because of the Newman tragedy this November.
Will you be upset if Stitch dies? What storyline would you like to see for the character this fall? Who else do you think could be casualties of the upcoming Newman gala explosion? Share your thoughts in the Comments section below, on our message boards, or by submitting Feedback.
