The Young and the Restless is preparing for a big fashion show in April, one that will lend itself to a crossover with sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful and bring in a wildly popular actress from a canceled soap.

The event, which will run in mid-April, will revolve around Chelsea's new fashion line called Chelsea Lawson for Jabot. In typical "big event" style, there will be drama, a couple of catfights, and a dash of hilarity.

All My Children favorite Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt) will put in a special guest appearance as a "harried stage manager," according to TVGuide Magazine's Michael Logan.

Meanwhile, B&B's Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) and Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer) will fly from Los Angeles to the fictional town of Genoa City to check out the fashion show. In reality, they'll simply walk across the hall; B&B and Y&R are filmed just across the corridor from each other.

Look for the action to kick off on April 11 and run through April 16.
