It's looking more and more like Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti) will be exiting The Young and the Restless. A show insider tells Soap Central that the actor will exit by the end of the year.
Since this story was originally posted on November 8, Graziadei's exit has been confirmed. The actor will not renew his current contact, which expires at the end of the year. A farewell party was held on-set for Graziadei on November 30.
As a result of Graziadei's decision to leave Y&R, fans will notice that Graziadei's Daniel will not be popping up on-screen that often. It is unclear exactly how the character will be written out at this time.
This isn't the first time that the actor's future with Y&R appeared destined to come to an end. At the end of 2008, show insiders were adamant that Graziadei would be leaving the top-rated CBS soap. The actor had a series of other projects and had to reportedly pass on some non-Y&R jobs because of his contract with the show. Despite the claims four years ago, Graziadei inked a contract and stayed put in Genoa City.
In 2010, Graziadei reupped another time.
Graziadei joined The Young and the Restless in May 2004. In 2005 and 2006, the actor received Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor.
