Daytime favorite Sean Kanan (ex-A.J. Quartermaine, General Hospital; ex-Deacon Sharpe, The Bold and the Beautiful/The Young and the Restless) is hard at work on an exciting new project that utilizes the talents of some of the actor's soap opera star friends.
Titled Studio City, Kanan's upcoming project is described as "a love letter to soaps" and stars some of the biggest names in the business, including Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio, GH; Colin Atkinson, Y&R), Carolyn Hennesy (Diane Miller, GH), Sarah Joy Brown (ex-Carly Corinthos/Claudia Zacchara, GH; ex-Madison James, Days of our Lives; ex-Agnes Jones/Sandy Sommers, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Julia Larrabee, As the World Turns), Patrika Darbo (ex-Shirley Spectra, B&B; ex-Nancy Wesley, DAYS), and -- of course -- Kanan.
"I'm so proud and excited about this project," Kanan teases. "It's a love letter to soaps and I know daytime fans and beyond are going to love it."
Additional details on Kanan's Studio City remain scarce, but Tristan Rogers tweeted, "It's a wonderful project."

Kanan began working as an actor in the 1980s, landing roles in shows like Werewolf, Baby Boom, The Outsiders, and Step by Step. His first soap opera role was GH's A.J., which he played from 1993 to 1997 and again from 2012 to 2014. He's also known for playing Deacon Sharpe on-again, off-again from 2000 to 2017 on both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
In addition to acting, Kanan recently released a book called Success Factor X, which includes interviews with soap stars like Tristan Rogers, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan, GH; ex-Dylan McAvoy, Y&R), Corbin Bernsen (Father Todd Williams, Y&R), Kimberlin Brown (ex-Sheila Carter, B&B/Y&R), Jennifer Finnigan (ex-Bridget Forrester, B&B), Kate Linder (Esther Valentine, Y&R), Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, All My Children), and Antonio Sabato Jr. (ex-Jagger Cates, GH).
