Everyone involved with the cruise is aware of the severe damage recently experienced in the Bahamas due to hurricane Dorian. As such, the cruise's official website states "[We are] heartbroken about the devastation in the Bahamas caused by hurricane Dorian. The decision to continue our Cruise With Soap Stars plans was made because we know the Bahamian people are strong and they'll be working tirelessly to rebuild the areas critical to tourism -- their major source of income -- which we want to support."

The website also states that a portion of the cruise proceeds will be donated to organizations that support the recovery and relief efforts of those affected by hurricane Dorian.

"Depending on the severity of the damage and the timeline for repairs Carnival may adjust our itinerary," the site states. "Although the destination may change there will still be a Cruise With Soap Stars three day cruise out of Miami April 17-20 and we hope you'll be on it!"
