SOAPnet, the Disney-owned 24-hour cable soap channel, has announced that it will air repeat episodes of Port Charles beginning later this month.
While SOAPnet will air Port Charles, it will not air every episode from the soap's six-year run. Instead, the network will air episodes beginning with "Fate," the first of the show's 12-week story arcs. Episodes will be broadcast two at a time and air at Noon Eastern.
"We're proud to add Port Charles to our stable of classic soaps, such as Ryan's Hope and Another World, which have a strong, loyal base of fans," says Deborah Blackwell, SOAPnet's general manager.
Port Charles, the General Hospital aired its final episode on October 3rd, 2003. The decision to cancel the show was made by ABC Daytime President Brian Frons in June. Frons cited "significant financial challenges," as the reason for the show's demise.
SOAPnet's rebroadcasts begin Monday, December 29th. Check your local listings for availability in your area.
