It's been twelve long years since the brutal cancellation of NBC's soap opera, Passions, but fans of the unique show haven't let it slip away into faded memories. In fact, many have rallied on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter to bring the drama of Harmony back to life, and they've succeeded -- a Passions documentary is in the works and is slated to debut next year.
The exciting news broke at this year's "Day of DAYS" Days of our Lives fan event, and the documentary's Twitter account confirmed that a 20th anniversary Passions film is indeed on the way.
"Passions: Special Reunion Documentary will have its premiere screening at Universal Studios Hollywood in the movies on April 28th during the launch of @bwe_television!" the account shared. "Q&A w/ cast included! Thanks to the fans that made this a reality, and if you pledged on Kickstarter..."

Passions: Special Reunion Documentary is the creation of Angie Thomas, a lifelong soap opera fan whose novels, The Hate U Give and On the Come Up, have made the New York Times bestseller list. The documentary, which wrapped filming in August, is set to feature many Passions favorites and will no doubt take viewers down memory lane of the soap opera that featured an orangutan nurse named Precious, a witch named Tabitha, an incestuous relationship between a brother and sister, and so much more.
Confirmed cast members slated to appear in the documentary include Lindsay Hartley (ex-Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald), Eric Martsolf (ex-Ethan Winthrop), Galen Gering (ex-Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald), Colton Shires (ex-Little Ethan), Brook Kerr (ex-Whitney Russell Harris), Donn Swaby (ex-Chad Harris Crane), Chrystee Pharris (ex-Simone Russell), Jade Harlow (ex-Jessica Bennett), Juliet Mills (ex-Tabitha Lenox), Kathleen Noone (ex-Mrs. Wallace), Andrea Evans (ex-Rebecca Hotchkiss Crane), Kim Johnston Ulrich (ex-Ivy Winthrop Crane), James Hyde (ex-Sam Bennett), Rodney Van Johnson (ex-T.C Russell), and Amelia Marshall (ex-Liz Sanbourne).
Fans who pledged on Kickstarter to make the upcoming Passions documentary a reality will enjoy special perks once the project is ready for the public next year. Says the documentary's Twitter page, "If you pledged on Kickstarter you'll receive an advance copy of the documentary. As an extra perk, those that pledged to Kickstarter will also have priority and complimentary access to the screening inside the movie theatre. Thanks for still being a fan and keeping #PSNS alive!"
