Prospect Park has made changes to the writing team at One Life to Live. The changes come a week after the show's broadcast scheduled was reduced from four days per week to just two.

"Jessica Klein and Marin Gazzaniga have been promoted to co-head writers of One Life To Live," Prospect Park said in a statement. "Jason Seidel will also join the writing staff of One Life To Live."

Klein previously served as associate head writer for As the World Turns in the mid-1980s, and served in the same capacity on Capitol. Outside of daytime, Klein worked in numerous capacities on the primetime soap Beverly Hills, 90210, including story editor, supervising producer, and executive producer.

Prospect Park reports that Gazzaniga has worked as a writer on As The World Turns and Arthur.

"We are excited for the opportunity to put the lives of our characters in the capable hands of the new writing staff," Prospect Park said in a statement. "We appreciate their commitment to great storytelling that will build upon an already solid foundation."

That foundation was, in part, laid by the show's previous writing team. In January, Thom Racina and Susan Bedsow Horgan were appointed head writers for the series' reboot. In April, Horgan stepped away from her duties at OLTL.

New co-head writers were also appointed at All My Children.

According to a show source, the changes are not totally unexpected. Faced with a short turnaround time when production on All My Children and One Life to Live resumed, Prospect Park hired experienced soap writers who could get stories cranked out in a relatively quick period of time. Now that the broadcast schedule has been adjusted online, the company is "taking steps to really develop long-term story."
