The Food Network will be cooking with soap this weekend. Not literal soap because we suspect that would leave a pretty bad taste in one's mouth -- but if you Google it, you'll probably find a recipe or two. But no, before we get too far off-recipe, the network will be having soap stars assist in the creation of some culinary masterpieces.
General Hospital stars Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) and her real-life love Wes Ramsey (Peter August) will be guests on The Kitchen, premiering Saturday, April 14.
The GH duo will help co-host Sunny Anderson build a Lemon Teriyaki Chicken and Rice Bowl. The pair will also help create a Fruit Infused Cold Brew Tea.
Laura and Wes's episode of The Kitchen, titled "Let's Do Lunch," premieres Saturday, April 14, at 11am ET/PT on the Food Network. You can also check out some of the show's other episodes as well as some of their tasty recipes on their web site at foodnetwork.com/shows/the-kitchen
[EDITOR'S NOTE: A cursory googling turned up no recipes that involve the use of soap. We did, however, find a recipe for creamy baked potato soap, which we hope was an unfortunate "soup" typo.]
