There's no stopping Carolyn Hennesy when she hits all the right notes as General Hospital's tough as nails Diane Miller, and it looks like her latest role will be just as fierce and powerful.
The actress took to Instagram to announce that she will be starring in an upcoming production of the play Master Class as legendary opera soprano singer Maria Callas.
"It's official," the actress wrote. "I can announce. What a role!"
Written by Terrence McNally, Master Class follows the commanding, larger-than-life, and surprisingly hilarious diva opera singer as she hosts a voice master class at the Julliard School. Through a series of personal stories that delve deep into her history with rivals and lovers, Callas motivates her students to delver the performance of their lives.
Hennesy, who joined GH back in 2006, also shared a photo of herself posing with the play's director, Dimitri Toscas.
Master Class is scheduled to premiere on Friday, September 22, for a five-week run at the Garry Marshall Theatre in Burbank, CA. For tickets and more information, check out the theater's official website.
