Could Maxie Jones soon be back in General Hospital's Port Charles? According to her portrayer, Kirsten Storms, the answer is yes!
The actress departed her role back in March without an explanation as to why viewers would be sans Maxie. Fans have reached out on social media to see when (or if) she might return, and she finally gave a hint: "Soon-ish," she tweeted in response to a question about coming back to GH.
Soon-ish. ❤️ RT @SharonAtlangel3: @teenystweeting please say your coming back soon to @GeneralHospital 😃😃😃

As fans may recall, this is Storms's fourth break from the ABC soap. Days of our Lives' Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) stepped in for the actress while she recovered from endometriosis in 2011; Storms took a maternity break in 2014; and DAYS' Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie Jonas) stepped in for the star while she recovered from skin issues arising shortly after her divorce from costar Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara).
No official reason has been given for Storms's most recent break, though rumor has it the sabbatical was due to personal reasons.
Though Storms's fans will be relieved to see her back in Port Charles, the same might not be able to be said about Maxie's hubby, Nathan (Ryan Paevey). While Maxie has been off gallivanting in Portland, he started cozying up to nurse Amy (Risa Dorken), who shared that Maxie was quite the bully when they were in high school. Will the sexy nurse be able to successfully sink her hooks into Maxie's man? It looks like viewers will have to continue tuning in to find out!
