Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing; ex-Whip Jones, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Carter Mills, The Young and the Restless) has landed a new job, but it won't be taking him too far away from daytime.
The actor took to Instagram to share the news that he's been cast on VH1's upcoming drama series, Daytime Divas, something that probably wouldn't have happened had he not decided to relocate to Atlanta earlier this year.
"Well Atlanta you are definitely showing me that relocation was wise," he wrote. "Just booked an arc to play opposite the multi talented, and stunning #vanessawilliams on the #vh1 series #daytimedivas."
The new VH1 series is based on the 2011 book Satan's Sisters, written by former The View co-host Star Jones. It stars Vanessa Williams as the creator/host of a popular fictional talk show called The Lunch Hour and chronicles the fireworks that erupt daily between the five female co-hosts. "On screen, they are best friends with five very different points of view, but behind the scenes, they inhabit a world of power struggles, cat fights and cocktails," Deadline reports.
Hearst's role in the series has yet to announced, but fans can look forward to catching him when Daytime Diva debuts in early 2017.
