Anthony Geary's exit as General Hospital's Luke Spencer is sure to give viewers an emotional summer ahead, but there's light at the end of the tunnel: Genie Francis will be staying put as Laura Spencer long after her costar exits the canvas.
A rep for the show confirms that the actress will be part of Luke's farewell storyline, but she'll also be back for more GH fun this fall. And Francis couldn't be happier to explore different aspects of the character she took on back in 1976.
"I'm very happy about that," she enthused to Soap Opera Digest. "It looks like it will be a fun experience all the way around."
