Hot on the heels of the news that the judging and registration process for the 44th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is underway comes news that the date for the glitzy 2017 event has been set.
Put in your vacation requests now for Sunday, April 30, 2017.
There's no word yet on where the event will take place and whether or not the ceremony will be televised or if it will be brought to the fans via the Internet or a social media app. Odds are it will be streamed via Periscope like the last Daytime Emmy Awards, but Viewfinder and Snapchat are other possible alternatives.
Daytime Emmy pre-nominations will be announced on January 25, 2017. And the final nomination list will be announced on March 22, 2017 on CBS's The Talk.
