The pool from which this year's Emmy winners will be selected just got a little smaller. The official 2015 Daytime Emmy pre-nominations have been announced.
Actors from just four soaps -- The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless -- are eligible for Emmy consideration this year.
The ten candidates in each category who received the highest number of votes now advance to the blue ribbon at-home screening round, scheduled to begin on February 24, 2015, which will determine both nominees and Emmy winners.
The Lead Actor and Supporting Actress categories have 11 pre-nominees due to ties.
The nominations for this year's Daytime Emmys will be announced Thursday, March 26. The ceremony will be held April 26. A venue has not yet been named, and there are currently no announced plans for a televised ceremony.
