On-screen, soap couples often jump right into marriage after a few weeks or even days of being engaged, but Days of our Lives stars Arianne Zucker and Shawn Christian have been taking their time to do it just right. The couple has been together for eleven years and engaged since 2021, and they finally have their wedding plans set.
"We discovered a wedding DESTINATION and DATE!" Zucker wrote on Instagram alongside a series of snaps of her and her fiancé. "So grateful to everyone who has helped us make this exploration an eye-opening awe-inspiring adventure! Big thank you to @christinecomina @cominaphotography for capturing the authentic love and joy in our wild romance."
Zucker also posted a message from Christian, prefacing it with "This is from Shawn!"
"I already hear many of you saying 'Finally, Shawn!' Just remember ya'll....there is great value in long courtships," he said.
In August of 2023, Zucker announced in an excited social media post that they had finally started planning their wedding.
"This is it! The year we have all been waiting for!!!!" she wrote. "We are finally planning our wedding! Ha! It's our turn! There are no words to explain how incredibly kind, honest, honorable, giving, heartfelt oh, and sexy this man is! Can't wait to OFFICIALLY call you my husband...in another year...but still. Even though we've been together for 10 years...still can't wait to call you my OFFICIAL husband!"
Zucker and Christian met on the DAYS set, where she played Nicole Walker and he played Daniel Jonas. Nicole and Daniel embarked on a romance, and he is the father of Nicole's daughter, Holly. Sadly, Daniel was killed in a drunk-driving accident before Holly was born in 2016. Zucker has been bringing Nicole to life since 1998 but departed the soap months ago. Her last scenes as Nicole are set to air on July 29.
