Days of our Lives' Lucas Adams (Tripp Johnson) and fiancée Shelby Wulfert exchanged vows in a beautiful, intimate ceremony on Saturday, October 15, at the Chateau Hiddenwood estate in Waxahachie, Texas, in front of 40 family members and close friends.
Wulfert was dressed in a Jenny Yoo crepe satin dress from BHLDN at Anthropologie in Los Angeles and walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "La Vie en Rose." The dress, which she describes as "a calla lily flower [that] came to life and became a vintage Hollywood starlet," was actually the first dress she tried on.
When looking back on their romantic journey, the beautiful bride tells People, "We were friends first, and then after a while, Lucas was so sweet. He was like, 'I have to tell you that I have a crush on you.' And then after that I was like, 'Oh, thank goodness. I do too!'"
After the ceremony, guests dined on meatballs and lasagna while listening to music on a Spotify playlist curated by the couple. The two-tier white buttercream cake was decorated with greenery and florals to match the green color scheme of the wedding.
As for the honeymoon, Adams says, "We're doing a mini-moon in Dallas, so we can go and just kind of hang out and just relax for a couple of days. We'll be staying at the Rosewood Mansion. We're actually really excited."
Adams has played the role of Tripp off and on since 2017. He also appeared in the second season of Peacock's Beyond Salem. He received Daytime Emmy nominations in the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series category in 2018 and 2019.
