June is shaping up to be a tough month for Days of our Lives viewers. Hot on the heels of the shocking murder of legacy character Abigail Deveraux (Marci Miller) comes news that Salem couple Lamon Archey (Eli Grant) and Sal Stowers (Lani Price) are exiting the NBC soap opera.
According to Soap Opera Digest, both actors decided to end their DAYS runs, with Stowers set to make her final appearance on Friday, July 1, and Archey set to exit the canvas the week of July 4.
As viewers know, Lani is currently waiting to find out her fate after confessing that she shot her father, T.R. (William Christian), and agreed to let her mother, Paulina (Jackée Harry), take the heat for the crime. Stowers' exit indicates that things aren't going to go well for the character and her legal situation.
As for Eli, official show teasers reveal that Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is gut-punched when the character shares unexpected news on Friday, July 1 -- the same day that Lani is overwhelmed by a grand gesture made by Abe (James Reynolds) and exits the canvas.
Stowers joined DAYS in 2015 after having made her daytime debut in the role of All My Children's Cassandra Foster in 2013. Some of her other credits include The Fosters, Switched at Birth, Major Crimes, and New Girl.
Archey first appeared as DAYS' Eli in 2017, shortly after wrapping his run as recurring character Mason Wilder on The Young and the Restless. Some of his other credits include All American, 2 Broke Girls, and Can't Buy My Love.
