Days of our Lives fans will have to say goodbye to Sami Brady again, as her portrayer, Alison Sweeney, reveals that she will be leaving the canvas this week.
In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, the actress shares that being back at the NBC soap opera "was so much fun," and, as usual, she "had a blast" reprising the role she originated all the way back in 1993.
As for what takes Sami off the canvas this time around, Sweeney reveals that her feisty alter ego will be kidnapped during the Wednesday, August 11, episode. That will spell the end of the actress' most recent return stint, but she teases that it definitely won't be the last that DAYS fans see of Sami.
"I have other scenes that I'm doing right now, so, you'll have to see what happens next," she shares. "Every time I talk to Ron [Carlivati, head writer], we have a hilarious, great conversation. He has fun ideas for this character and I enjoy playing them."
In addition to filming at DAYS, Sweeney has been busy with the release of her latest Murder, She Baked film, Sweet Revenge: A Hannah Swensen Mystery, which premiered last night on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. As Soap Central previously reported, the film also stars Home & Family co-host Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain, General Hospital; ex-Ryan Lavery, All My Children).
