Daytime star Michael Lowry (ex-Jake Martin, All My Children; ex-Ross Rayburn, One Life to Live; ex-Les Sweeney, As the World Turns; ex-Dr. Hillman, The Bold and the Beautiful) has joined the cast of Days of our Lives as a new character named Dr. Snyder.
Soap Opera Digest reports that the New York native will be making his debut on the NBC soap opera on Friday, April 2, in scenes with Belle (Martha Madison), Shawn (Brandon Beemer), and Jan (Heather Lindell).
As Soap Central previously reported, Jan will soon be waking from her coma, which came on after she was nearly strangled to death by John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who freaked out when Jan claimed to have killed Belle. How will Jan respond when she wakes from her coma next week, and how will Dr. Snyder fit into the picture? Fans will have to keep tuning in to DAYS to find out!
Lowry got his start in the soap genre playing Jake Martin on All My Children from 1996 until 2001. He followed up his time in Pine Valley with the roles of Les Sweeney on As the World Turns from 2004 until 2005, Dr. Hillman on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2006, and Ross Rayburn on One Life to Live from 2009 until 2010. His other credits include Nashville, Powers, Tainted Dreams, Drop Dead Diva, and The King of Queens.
