It's been a little over two years since Victoria Konefal debuted as Days of our Lives character Ciara Brady, and while she now feels like the cast and crew of the NBC soap opera are family, she admits that it was a long road to get to that feeling.
In a new interview with Real Style Network, the actress opens up about what it was liking initially joining DAYS back in 2017.
"Everyone was so loving and welcoming from my first day, but it took a few months for me to start feeling like I was part of the family," she recalls. "That also had a lot to do with me feeling comfortable enough on set to be myself. It can take awhile to get to know me. I'm very reserved initially, but when the bond forms it's hard to break."
One exception to her normally slow-to-bond behavior was with her on-screen mom, Kristian Alfonso (Hope Brady), who she says she connected with right away.
"I absolutely adore her. We have a truly special bond," Konefal reveals. "She actually had a huge influence in the casting of the new Ciara, so we had chemistry from the get go. We are both from the East Coast and that has made us even closer. We share a deep love for chocolate, munchkins, and Italian food."
