The term "What's up, doc?" is usually reserved for Bugs Bunny, but fans can now use it on daytime star Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark, Days of our Lives; ex-Kevin Fisher, The Young and the Restless), as he has landed a medical role on Modern Family.
The New York native took to Instagram to share that he has stepped into the shoes of an OBGYN named Dr. William on the popular ABC sitcom that is currently in its tenth season. And he seems quite thrilled to get a taste of material he has thus far not experienced in the soap opera realm.
"After all the comas I've been in, it's nice to be on this side of the bed," he jokes of his primetime role. "Thanks for the insanely lovely and warm welcome Modern Family."

Rikaart joined Y&R in 2003 and played the character of Kevin for 14 years before being let go from the CBS soap opera in May 2017. Days of our Lives snatched him up in 2018, and he's been playing the role of Leo Stark since. Interestingly enough, his DAYS role has him once again playing opposite daytime actress Judith Chapman: the pair played mother and son Gloria and Kevin in Genoa City and now play mother and son Diana and Leo in Salem.
At this time, it's unclear if Rikaart's Modern Family role is a one-time guest-starring appearance or if the gig will be recurring. Keep checking back for updates on the actor's air date and other information about his role as they come.
