A cryptic message seems to indicate that Bryan Dattilo is out as Days of our Lives' Lucas. In a tersely written Twitter post, Dattilo referred to the time he's spent on the NBC soap as a "good run" and urged fans to enjoy his DAYS alter ego while they can.
"25 years. 2 months. 12 days. And 4 hours. Good run. Thanks to my Days family and fans. Enjoy Lucas while you can," Dattilo wrote on Twitter.

If true, this isn't the first time that Dattilo has been let go. In February 2001, Dattilo's character was given "a rest" amid a series of moves to keep the show's budget in check. He eventually reprised his role the following year.
Dattilo joined Days of our Lives in April 1993.
A DAYS rep reminds Soap Central that the show does not comment on contracts.
