Unlike most long-running primetime shows, there is rarely ever a chance to watch old episodes of soap operas. For a while, there were occasional marathons on the now-defunct SOAPnet channel. And, of course, there's always someone's grainy, quasilegal uploads on YouTube to check out. But to watch old (or oldish) episodes chronologically, that's been a no-go.
That's about to change for fans of Days of our Lives.
Beginning March 5, repeat episode of DAYS will air twice daily on Bravo. While the episodes won't stretch all the way back to the beginning, the hourglass will be turned back six-and-a-half years. The rebroadcasts will begin with the episode that aired September 16, 2011. In case you don't remember what was going on way back then, it's the episode when Bo, Hope, and Rafe linked DNA evidence to Quinn. It also features an appearance by Joseph Mascolo (Stefano DiMera) and James Scott (E.J. DiMera).
If there is a particular episode from that time period that you absolutely want to be sure that you watch, check out our Daily Recaps Archive section to read summaries of each week's action. You can then set your DVRs accordingly.
DAYS creative consultant Sheri Anderson took to Twitter to share her excitement.
Today is a big day in Filmdom with the Oscars, but tomorrow is even bigger for us at 'Days'. Two episodes of Days of our Lives airing daily on Bravo starting with the shows in 2011. Check your local listings! ??? #Days #Bravo

There are no immediate plans to broadcast other or older episodes at this time, but presumably, if there's enough interest from fans, that could change.
As for when the rebroadcasts will air, the times will vary in each market, so be sure to check your local listings.
If you're wondering why the episodes are airing on Bravo, it's because Bravo is NBC's sister station -- both are divisions of NBCUniversal.
