Days of our Lives, which has seen its profile rise under new head writer Ron Carlivati, has put another feather in its cap. The NBC soap has snagged Emmy-winning The Young and the Restless vet Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) for a new and undisclosed role.
Rikaart will appear on DAYS this spring "for a multi-episode arc."
A DAYS spokesperson confirmed that Rikaart has joined the show but declined to offer any additional details about who he might be playing.
Earlier this year, Y&R fans were stunned when Rikaart revealed that he'd been let go from the CBS soap after a 14-year run playing Kevin Fisher. Rikaart appeared on the show just last month for several episodes, and the door has reportedly been left open for him to make even more appearance in the future. Rikaart's role on DAYS will reportedly not preclude him from also working on Y&R.
Rikaart is not the only star to appear on both Y&R and DAYS. Eileen Davidson will also soon be pulling double duty as Y&R's Ashley and DAYS' Kristen.
