Attention, Days of our Lives fans: Alison Sweeney has left the building.
The über popular actress -- who returned to the NBC soap to film a storyline arc as her beloved alter ego, Sami Brady, earlier this spring -- revealed on social media that she has finished taping the scenes that are scheduled to air later this fall.
When a fan posed the question "Was that it?" to the actress on Twitter, she responded in the affirmative with the additional reveal that though the show wanted to keep her longer, she had to wrap up her DAYS work in order to start filming her next Hallmark movie (which she says is a Christmas film).
"[The decision to leave was] mine," she wrote. "I am getting ready to film my next movie for Hallmark. I couldn't stay long, but it was a wonderful visit."

News of Sweeney's return first broke back in April, and the actress revealed at that time that the return was only possible due to some ninja scheduling tactics and that she would be shooting her return scenes in May and June.
"From my end, it takes a little bit of logistics with projects I'm working on," she said, referencing the many Hallmark movies she has been a part of since she decided to leave DAYS in 2014. "And unfortunately, this year's been hard for me because of my knee injury, so I had to push some stuff back. So, I figured out a schedule, blocked out some time that I had available, and we figured it out!"
Hot on the heels of the news that Sweeney would be making an extended return to DAYS came news that Chandler Massey was returning to the show as Sami's presumed dead son Will. Exactly why the characters are back on the canvas has yet to be announced, but viewers are hoping new head writer Ron Carlivati has something delicious up his sleeve.
