2017 is sure to get off to a good start for Days of our Lives fans because Salem alums Kate Mansi (ex-Abigail Deveraux) and Patrick Muldoon (ex-Austin Reed) star in the new thriller film Boyfriend Killer, scheduled to premiere on January 8 on Lifetime Movie Network.
Mansi took to Twitter to announce the debut news with quite a disturbing photo that gives a small tease as to what fans can expect from the film directed by Alyn Darnay and written by Christine Conradt.

Muldoon also gave a Twitter tease about Boyfriend Killer, writing, "Watch @KateMansi try to ruin my life once again on @lifetimetv @nbcdays fans know what I mean."

The actor was of course referencing the 2011 storyline in which Mansi's Abigail became obsessed with his much older character, Austin, and convinced the teacher they'd slept together while he was intoxicated. Her manipulations nearly destroyed Austin and Carrie's marriage and made for quite a controversial DAYS storyline.
As for Boyfriend Killer, the film follows Sandra (Barbie Castro), a mother who is distraught after the untimely death of her son. When she goes through his social media accounts to save photos and let friends know about his death, she's horrified to discover that he and his girlfriend, Krystal (Mansi), were conspiring to kill Krystal's ex.
To catch Boyfriend Killer, be sure to tune in to the Lifetime Movie Network (not the main Lifetime channel) on Sunday, January 8 at 8PM.
