The top-secret news broke back in April, and now new details have emerged about Camila Banus' return as Days of our Lives' Gabi Hernandez.

The actress took to Instagram to announce that she'll be back on-screen starting Thursday, September 17.

As fans may recall, the actress -- who was nominated in the Outstanding Younger Actress category for the role during this year's Daytime Emmy Awards -- walked away from the soap in June of 2014 to pursue other projects. The departure story had her alter ego confessing to Nick Fallon's murder (scenes that earned her the Emmy nomination) and going to prison, where Gabi's been ever since.

News just came out today that Emmy winner Jordi Vilasuso will be heading to the NBC soap in a mystery role that's somehow connected to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), Gabi's brother. Might Vilasuso's new alter ego be connected to Gabi, as well? Looks like fans will have to wait and find out!
