It looks like Days of our Lives will be losing part of its groundbreaking couple, WilSon: Sonny's portrayer, Freddie Smith, has reportedly left the NBC soap.
Serial Scoop reports that Smith taped his final episode two weeks ago. As this time, the show has yet to issue a comment about the star's exit, whether or not recasting plans are in the works, and how the character's impending absence might affect his onscreen hubby, Will [Guy Wilson].
Due to DAYS' speedy five-months-in-advance taping schedule, Smith -- who began airing as Justin [Wally Kurth] and Adrienne's [Judi Evans] son in June of 2011 -- is expected to air throughout most of the summer.
