Nearly one year to the day that her hiring was announced comes word that Lindsay Hartley (Arianna Hernandez) has been let go from Days of our Lives.
Soap Opera Digest is reporting that while Hartley has been given a pink slip, DAYS viewers will continue to see the actress on-screen. How is that possible? As part of its effort to keep its operational costs low, Days of our Lives has adopted an aggressive production schedule. The show has already filmed several months' worth of material -- and that means that Hartley will continue to air through the end of the summer.
Prior to joining Days of our Lives in August 2009, Hartley appeared as a contract player on NBC's Passions for the supernatural series' entire nine-year run.
On Passions, she played Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald. It was Hartley's work on Passions that may have facilitated her hiring by DAYS executives. Hartley replaced newcomer Felisha Terrell as Arianna, and the actress was reunited with her former Passions co-stars Galen Gering (Rafe Hernandez; ex-Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, Passions) and Eric Martsolf (Brady Black; ex-Ethan Winthrop).
There is no immediate word if NBC will be recasting the role of Arianna.
