The 2021 Miss Universe Pageant is shaping up to be a very exciting event. The pageant -- which is taking place in Eilat, Israel, and is set to air on Fox on Sunday, December 12 -- will feature The Bold and the Beautiful actress Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller) as a celebrity judge.
The actress took to Instagram with the news, sharing a video of herself on a flight to Israel in which she expresses her total disbelief about being chosen to participate.
"On my birthday, I got this crazy e-mail to go and judge the Miss Universe pageant. Of course I thought, I'm being Punk'd, right?" she shares. "This doesn't happen to me, like, this is not something that happens to me! I am grateful, and I am so excited."
Sofer will be joined by supermodel Adriana Lima, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and actresses Urvashi Rautela, Marian Rivera, and Adamari López, who together will make up the selection committee of this year's event.
What's more, Steve Harvey will once again be hosting the Miss Universe Pageant, only this time, he'll be joined by his daughter Lori.
"This is my sixth time hosting the Miss Universe competition and it is always a highlight of my year. Each show I'm in awe of the smart, fiery, and talented women who take the stage," Harvey tells People. "I continue to champion this show and participate, not only as a host but as a producer, to show the world what you can do, if you put your mind to it."
He adds, "I'm so blessed I get to share this experience with my own daughter this year, who embodies that ideal every day."
The Miss Universe Organization has also announced that JoJo will be performing at the 2021 competition, as will Israeli singer Noa Kirel.
Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was crowned the winner of Miss Universe 2020 in May, a year after the annual competition went on hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The pageant was hosted by Mario Lopez (ex-Dr. Christian Ramírez, B&B) and Olivia Culpo.
