Let's get ready to rumble! The Bold and the Beautiful just announced its next week of themed throwback episodes, and some of the soap opera's best showdown moments are headed viewers' way -- in full force! Two of the episodes are from 2020, but three of them date back to the early 2000s.

Monday, July 6, 2020: Episode 3957 (Original Airdate: January 6, 2003)
Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Ridge Forrester (then played by Ronn Moss) compete against one another as lead designers in an elegant fashion show set amidst the romantic and glamorous backdrop of Portofino, Italy. Massimo Marone (the late Joe Mascolo), Bridget (then played by Jennifer Finnegan), Sally (played by the late Darlene Conley), and Darla (Schae Harrison) watch Ridge, who's designing for Spectra Fashions, and Eric, who's designing for Forrester Creations, as both bring their best to the "Portofino Challenge." Stephanie (Susan Flannery) and Clarke (Daniel McVicar) emcee the event and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) stuns as the showstopper arriving via boat on the Ligurian Sea.
Tuesday, July 7, 2020: Episode 3819 (Original Airdate: June 14, 2002)
Whip (Rick Hearst) clashes with Deacon (Sean Kanan), explaining that there is no way that Brooke would ever betray her daughter Bridget (Jennifer Finnegan) now and that he must forget that Brooke's baby is really his. Meanwhile, Bridget, not realizing that her mother is pregnant with Bridget's husband Deacon's baby, throws her a baby shower. Taylor (Hunter Tylo), Kristen (Tracey Lindsey Melchoir), and Erica (Courtnee Draper) attend, as well as Meagan (Maeve Quinlan) and Stephanie (Susan Flannery), both of whom know the truth about Brooke's secret. After the shower is over, Meagan assures Whip that Deacon won't do anything to jeopardize his relationship with Bridget, while Deacon heads over to Brooke's house to talk about their baby. Not realizing that that Bridget is downstairs and can hear them on the baby monitor, Deacon professes his love for Brooke.
Wednesday, July 8, 2020: Episode 3829 (Original Airdate: June 28, 2002)
Whip is surprised to learn that Deacon has agreed to stay away from Brooke by taking Bridget (Finnegan) on a publicity tour for the Forrester Creations Ambrosia line. Not realizing that his wife heard him profess his love to her mother over the baby monitor, Deacon tells Whip that he made the decision because of that close call. Whip assures Deacon that the baby will be surrounded by nothing but love from the day he or she is born. Meanwhile, Stephanie (Flannery) sits outside the Big Bear cabin in her car while Bridget goes inside to confront her mother over her egregious betrayal. In a heartbreaking moment, an angry Bridget demands that Brooke tell her how many times she and Deacon were together. Brooke attempts to convince Bridget how much Brooke loves her, but Bridget insists that Brooke threw her away. Bridget tells Brooke that she made her choice, and choices have consequences. Brooke grabs Bridget's wrist, begging Bridget to give her another chance. Stephanie enters the cabin and orders Brooke to let Bridget go. When Bridget leaves, Brooke drops to the floor and tells Stephanie she's going into labor.
Thursday, July 9, 2020: Episode 8291 (Original Airdate: Thursday, March 12, 2020)
Wyatt (Darin Brooks) interrupts Dollar Bill's (Don Diamont) daydream about the stolen kiss he recently shared with Brooke. Vinny (Joe LoCicero) tries to hide his anxiety about Thomas' (Matthew Atkinson) plan as he makes small talk with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Quinn (Rena Sofer), and Eric. He asks Thomas to stop the madness and cancel the ceremony. Alone, before the ceremony, Hope (Annika Noelle) asks Douglas (Henry Samiri) to trust her, telling the child that she will make sure that she is always his mother. Unseen, Thomas listens to part of the conversation and is confident that he and Hope will be married by the end of the day. Little Douglas watches his world fall apart as the wedding of Thomas Forrester and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) begins. Mid-ceremony, Douglas has a meltdown and runs upstairs. Hope follows him as Zoe urges Thomas to continue with the wedding. Nervous and trying to stall, Thomas continues with his vows. At the very last moment, everyone is stunned to see Hope, in the Hope for the Future gown that Thomas created for her, and Douglas, standing hand and hand at the end of the aisle.
Friday, July 10, 2020: Episode 8292 (Original Airdate: Friday, March 13, 2020)
Thomas believes that all of his dreams are about to come true as Hope (Noelle) stands before him, hand in hand with Douglas, wearing the wedding dress that he designed for her. When Zoe (Barnes) demands that Thomas not leave her at the altar, Hope takes the opportunity to deliver a stunning turn of events, which leads to a "game over" moment for Thomas. He soon realizes that Hope, Liam (Scott Clifton), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) plotted his comeuppance and turns to Douglas then Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) for support. With Zoe and Hope now side-by-side in solidarity, Thomas is forced to hear from his friends and family their disappointment in his machinations and how his evil behavior has affected their lives. Realizing he has lost everything, Thomas flees, leaving Hope, Liam, and Douglas to be reunited as a family.
The Bold and the Beautiful has been airing classic episodes since April 27, when the soap ran out of new, pre-COVID-19-filmed episodes. In order to keep things exciting for the viewers, it has been presenting the throwback episodes via theme weeks filled with long-lost cherished characters, epic adventures, and classic moments.
B&B's first theme week kicked off on Monday, April 27, and was dedicated to some of the soap's most luxurious location shoots. Its second theme week kicked off on Monday, May 4, and celebrated some of its most epic weddings. The show's third week began on Monday, May 11, and celebrated some of the show's best fashion moments. Its fourth week started on May 18 and was dedicated to original character Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang). Its fifth week of themed episodes started on May 25 and featured some of the show's most special guest stars, while its sixth week began on June 1 and featured classic rivalries. Its seventh week, which kicked off on Monday, June 8, saw a re-airing of the soap's very first episode followed by moments fans voted for. Its eight week, which kicked off on June 15, was dedicated to fun crossover moments with its sister soap, Y&R. Its ninth week of throwback episodes, which began June 22, celebrated that the Daytime Emmy Awards were on June 26 and featured some of B&B's Emmy-winning moments. Its tenth week, which kicked off June 29, featured moments in which love conquered all.
Soap Central will be providing recaps for all of the classic B&B episodes that aired before the Internet Age, and you can read them in our Daily Recaps Archives. That's also the place to check out recaps for any soap opera episode that has aired between 1996 and the present day.
As Soap Central previously reported, B&B began filming again the week of June 15 with the aim of bringing viewers new material as soon as mid-July. However, the soap pushed pause on its production plans just one day into filming in order to facilitate better COVID testing methods. B&B resumed production again on Wednesday, June 24.
Producers from The Young and the Restless were eyeing a July 6 restart date but that has now reportedly been pushed back to Monday, July 13, due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in Southern California. Mid-July is also the reported time that General Hospital is tentatively scheduled to get back up and running.
There's no word yet on when Days of our Lives might return to production, but due to the NBC soap opera's advanced shooting schedule, it is still airing new episodes and has enough in the can to last until September.
